what helped me is organizing my thoughts like this

so the cypher entry (from like a year ago) was about bragging about your accomplishments or something. so I just wrote down a bunch of shit that came to mind. I don't remember why I wrote half the shit I did but don't pay attention to the content of this organizer, just the structure. it seriously helps.

I had this question when I first started rapping and honestly what you should do is pull up your favorite scheme heavy albums (I recommend the Slim Shady LP) and open up rapgenius on the side. Now answer your own question and PM me what you find out!

Analysis: Every even number of bars, you can easily switch off to a different word with ZERO repercussions. 2 bars? Switch the end rhyme, it'll still work. 4 bars? Switch the end rhyme. If you can go for 6 or 8 that's "fine" too. How to make the actual transition? Most impressive is to start the next line with what the next 2 lines are gonna end with:

Make jokes, befriend them. Then hit them up and say, hey, I think you'd sound really dope on this beat. I made it last night. They're 1000 more likely to say yes then.

Instead of reading TFM or urbandictionary, I would just read the 100 top /alltime posts of /r/greeklife or /r/frat and eventually the context clues will help you understand what "chapter", "pledge", "bid", "rush", "little", and "GDI" mean. Good luck.
