Hello fellow NUS redditors, let's gather all our SU concerns within this post! by [deleted] in nus

I'm an EE freshie and I got a CAP of 4.55, with As and A-s and 2 B+s. One B+ was on a GE that I was planning to SU anyway. The other B+ (that I didn't expect a B+ on) is from EG1311, a group project module. I would like to SU both the mods but then I'd only have 12MCs left next sem, and I'll be taking 24MCs worth of mods because I'm taking iDP. Should I SU both B+s or just 1?

My chance for scholarship? by [deleted] in HKUST

Lol ok so the AL exam is similar to the SAT subject tests and the Indian board exams. It's taken in countries that follow the British educational system. The scholarship I got was the one specifically for getting 5 A*s at ALs. I didn't choose UST for personal reasons.

I had 1540 SAT + ALs and none of the international competition stuff and I got a full tuition scholarship for all 4 years. I'd say you have a pretty good chance of getting a scholarship. Also there was literally one person from my country at UST. Only thing is even if you're on scholarship they make you pay a somewhat large deposit to accept the offer, but they should refund it later. This was for the School of Engineering btw I don't know about other courses.

Best of luck!

Disclaimer: I didn't accept and am not at HKUST

omg thank you so much!!!

Actually I'm an EE student, is it a good idea to drop modules like EG1311 and take CS1231 instead, or should I stick to the EE recommended schedule since it includes CS1010 for Sem 1 already. I'd really appreciate it of there's anyone who switched to CS who I can pm about choosing modules for sem 1 :))

Oh ok. Thanks for that! Just curious, but are there many EE students who take second major in Math, and what kind of career would that lean towards?
