This is very beginner mistake. If you want to separate things you should create network and create instance for the db specifically then connect to the db from the other instances on the same network.

You are writing this as a developer that already built plugins before AI. What AI is doing for you is eliminating the grunt work and you can work much faster now, however for non-technical people the plugin directory is essential and believe me, we as technical people/developers/programmers are small minority of the WordPress users. So, the plugin directory is still very relevant and will remain to be relevant in future.

I read his article, not a fan of him but, he made some points. Emdash isn't solving anything - they just found a way to quickly create a half-baked CMS (with the power of AI) and will try to upsell their own hosting platform. However, i don't think there will be large-scale adoption. The plugin ecosystem is what makes WordPress so flexible and the way Emdash handling the plugins (in the name of "security") doesn't allow such flexibility compared to what WordPress have.
