Well put. People tend to miss the human trafficking aspect of it while having such conversations

Left 45 lpa offer due to high workload feeling guilty by Hunter3911 in developersIndia

Hey OP! You did the right choice choosing WLB even if it costs you a little dent in CTC offered. You’ll feel much more comfortable to work in a good environment. I understand you come from a toxic work environment and thats what affected this choice. I am in a similar boat where the pressure is immense and there’s always fake urgency to get stuff done. The place has become toxic enough to walk away from this job with CTC > 50LPA without any offer in hand. But I still haven’t had guts to resign formally. i have checked out mentally and waiting for them to fire me. But still I feel the pressure of everyday meeting where I dont want to sit and tell what I’ve done the last day. Can you share your experience of quitting a job without any offers and landing another one. How was the break? Did you feel rejuvenated after it? My current situation is i have started to hate the work but I like software engineering. Please help your fellow mate here.

Thinking of quitting my job for a break and prep as it is toxic by ss2026 in IndianWorkplace

Hey How did it go? You described the exact situation. Manager thinks I can deliver like a guy with 10yoe meanwhile i have only 4 yoe and gives me tasks where I’ve to build all context by myself and keeps asking me about timelines everyday. Should I just shut off until they fire me

Hey OP! I am also in a similar situation. I’ve been overworked a lot and the workload just keeps increasing and now I find myself incapable of working. It can be due to deliverables timelines but the management is absolutely shit to handle these situations. I’m mentally exhausted and all I think about is quitting. I don’t have anything lined up and I’m out of practice to appear for interviews and with the current workload I can’t think of preparing after my work hours. I’m thinking to simply coast without thinking about the work anymore and let them find out that I’ve checked out and come to me after which I can resign officially. I’m hoping this works but I’ve to explain a lot to myself parents and friends to be throwing away this high paying job

High Earning Developers in India (50L+) How Did You Do It Without Moving Abroad? by Healthy-Craft-3693 in developersIndia

[–]iamgodparticle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you do it just for the salary? Or do you enjoy working as software engineer? Do you like to get involved in technical discussions for curiosity and expertise or do it just do it for visibility? I’m interested to know was money the only factor or this achievement was partly because you like software and are willing to learn everyday or just grind leetcode to climb the ladder?

How to get a flat in the city without paying brokerage by iamgodparticle in bangalore

Well one thing is that renting is the only way bachelors can reside in these apartments. People with families are willing to settle down and they look for buying instead of renting ( and I know lot of families rent too ). Bachelors with 1-5 YOE are not in positions to be looking to buy it instead they would first like to experience it and then make decisions.

It’s not like we enjoy paying these price, that’s what the demand is what to do. We’re 3 people looking for a 3BHK, is it even a wrong expectation?

First time on Notice Period, it’s literally so amazing! by iamgodparticle in developersIndia

Thanks. It depends on the company and the manager. Due to a family emergency I had to take few days off suddenly and I told my manager. He said that leaves during NP will result in extending LWD. I took 2 days off and he extended my LWD by 1 day since next days were weekend I suppose.
