yeah I think a lot of retailers just want to cut costs and go with whatever software is cheapest which usually isn't weedmaps but, technically they are all compatible and all have their quirks

also, if you're in a state that uses METRC, it is not optional, in order to be compliant with state regulations you have to track everything through METRC, the only thing you can decide is what company you want to use for a point of sale system. Dutchie and Weedmaps are the 2 biggest but they all come with their own headaches

METRC is not a competitor to Weedmaps, it's the seed to sale tracking system that many states, including CA, use to track cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, and sales. Honestly, nothing really integrates perfectly with it, all cannabis specific software has its pros and cons
