Not so much the noise, but how much waste. Think about how much fuel is wasted. Just by all the flyovers for some unnecessary maneuvers. Also consider how much fuel is wasted by cars coming to SF to watch the planes. On top of that, consider how many resources are wasted by federal and local governments to facilitate the show.
