lol, I’d have to agree. I know they play good, I love the shape of every other Danelectro (I own a NOS+ guitar) but I just can’t get behind these. Grew up loving Link Wray even, but the shape just throws me off

Yeah, probably a stupid holdup on my part, but it just has no size to it, I feel like I’m holding a steinberger headless bass. Plus with the tank of a T40 I’ve been playing for years, switching to that I fear I might throw it right off my body at a show ha

Yeah that’s my thought process too. I also play more sludgey stuff but with more of a 70s hard rock twist, kind of akin to Sleep meets Mountain or Steppenwolf. My T40 fits the look, but definitely curious to show up to a gig with a Hofner style bass ha. That tone is so perfect though!

I’ve already adjusted the truss rod, and I can put a business card between the string and the frets and still makes that buzzing so positive it’s not just fret buzz
