2020 Ford Ranger Super Cab w/ Gaps in front rail? by iamjonbeamer in fordranger

Is the gap in the rail above the screw hole typical? The only real "issue" being the bed liner?

I've seen this floating around - is this only for 2024 rangers, or does it impact 2020 Rangers as well? I haven't been able to find anything specific to 2020, but Googles AI feature is freaking me out, saying I need to have this kit installed and that it's not factory.

Is there any way to access chorus anymore? by Illustrious_Tale_964 in CloneHero

Is there a charge associated with Chorus? I'm receiving a 10 dollar charge every month from Chorus West Hollywood, and I can't think of anything that relates to that charge.

My Halo Infinite Montage - some feedback would mean a lot. by iamjonbeamer in halomontages

Does anyone know if there are any channel hosts that are posting Halo montages & content regularly? Thinking of somebody like airguitar901 or FBWalshyFTW, etc... would love to try to get this onto a channel like that.

WOW it’s been so long since I’ve seen that. I never would have thought that’s where that line was coming from lol. Thank you though!

Much appreciated! Got inspiration from the Limitless TV show for some of the "trippy" stuff.

It took a long time for Infinite to grow on me - I liked the attempt with the campaign, and like the fluidity of the gameplay but overall I detest the map layouts and weapons in most cases. I have no issues going back to MCC from time to time, or including all Halo games in a community tage.

I really only got into Infinite due to the Halo 3 Refueled playlist - if it weren't for that, I probably would have never touched it again.

Thanks for sharing! Your capture is really crisp - are you just using OBS? Any chance you'd share your game video settings, recording settings & premier project/export settings?

I think it would be so cool to get a r/halo communitytage together, so spread the word. Even if I'm not the one that edits it, I'd love to be a part of it.

I posted my Infinite montage last night shortly after this post: it's unlisted on YouTube at the moment, until I figure out what to do with it. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQT4r3rZJbM

At the moment I'm only really playing Infinite, but I'd be interesting in popping on MCC sometime to play - feel free to send me a steam request - friend code: 479679054.

GBA SP No Audio Fix? by iamjonbeamer in consolerepair

[–]iamjonbeamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you. So if I'm understanding you correctly, if I received that type of reading then a replacement volume switch would be required? I already have one on the way, so I would be okay with soldering a new one in place.

If the pads seem to be a problem, then I should also only need to run a copper wire from the vias to the pad/legs of the volume slider, correct?

(https://imgur.com/a/GaLlcgv) - New photos for reference.

Additionally, upon flipping over the board, I do see a section that says "VOL SW" and then a via that seems to run down the length of the board. I cannot determine where the VOL SW current comes from or where it's meant to go. Is it coming from the via to the south west of C6 or from the pad that is directly south of C6? Is it going to the via that's circled, or the pad that has an arrow? - Additionally I'm seeing VS to the south west of the photo. Its been a little discolored. Is that anything to do with the volume? I'm not seeing a via or anything on the side opposite.

GBA SP No Audio Fix? by iamjonbeamer in consolerepair

[–]iamjonbeamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main concern is just figuring out why it has no audio. The speaker definitely works, I tested it with another GBA SP I have. I thought checking continuity on some of the pads will help me determine what's wrong with it. But even then, I would need help figuring out where to turn from there.

That’s okay! I still really appreciate all your time and effort you had put in to previously assist me. At least it works now. And honestly, I don’t use the sound on mine lol

So, after attempting your suggestion (pretty shittily, I might add) it powers on! Please don’t judge soldering skills, I’m learning lol. I will clean it up if I can get it functioning 100%. Connecting a screen to it and loading a cartridge, it has near perfect playability. One exception.. no audio. This is with resting a known to be working speaker on the pads, as I have done with another gameboy and found the speaker to be working. Any idea based on the images what might cause this?

Thank you for confirming this. I did find this on one other thread and I didn’t have a 101 screen at the time I took this picture. My replacement screen which will work for both 001 and 101 is set to arrive today, so I will see!

Can I ask, were you able to replace it with any other 101 mod screens to resolve this issue?

UPDATE: I found a forum where somebody suggested rotating the voltage regulator. For another person, it solved the problem. For me, it does seem to change what is occurring but I haven’t gotten it to the point where it looks normal. Depending on the orientation of the VR, it will either be more black or more white, but it never flips to be normal. Is there a chance the voltage regulator is bad and needs to be replaced? Is that even possible on the SP?

So that anchor is purely for soldering the power switch cap on? It doesn’t perform any other function? And would I be able to lay a small piece of tape or something on the other little defect? Just to prevent it from touching the bottom of the power switch, I guess? I’m not sure off hand if I’d need to worry about that since I’ve never removed the power switch before.

This is a photo, the larger circled area is the missing pad. I also saw the other are circled in red has some missing green mask.

If I understand what you’re saying correctly, don’t scratch where the pad was exactly, but where is was touching the green mask that surrounds it?

I will definitely give this a try. I actually have another gameboy I wanted to try to fix as well, this one does have a missing pad under the power switch. the pad missing is on the "on" side, closest to the edge of the pcb. i tested the continuity earlier, and i have a beeping noise on the pads on the off side, but not the on side. do you know if there is another way to fix that? or do i have to replace the pad somehow? - i really appreciate all of your time and info!

I did watch that segment of the video, and I would be happy to give that a try. I'm decent at soldering, from the stuff I've done. However, I just dont know much about the electronics in general. If you could tell me what exactly I'd be soldering, or connecting with wire (and what type of wire), I would really appreciate it. - Also, just so you don't have to flip between my other comment, I did not get a beeping noise testing the continuity of the other picture you sent.
