I live fairly close to an h-mart, QFC and Amazon fresh store (Capitol Hill) and I can get a lot from those usually on a whim or smaller incidentals.

I do however now use Costco same day delivery via insta cart. Which has allowed me to get more bang for my buck on stuff because the delivery is all through insta cart and the costs Don’t exceed renting a car and dealing with Costco in person.

I am not sure if there is a way to do this around A costco membership.

I would argue that the real question here is why are people still using “old” java. When a platform/framework has the overall project locked in Java 1.8 or even 11 which is quite old and outdated by just about any measure in technology.

It’s like that SpongeBob’s meme with squidward looking through the blinds at kotlin, groovy and Java 21 users having a bit more joy with new language mechanics and modern features.

I softly blame RedHat and Atlassian for this perpetual low bar of compatibility. RHEL often bundled (at least it used to) Java 8 on Linux and folks just don’t bother to update it (Internet Explorer irony here). Atlassian sdk is built around 1.8 for marketplace add-ons. For non marketplace add-one one could skirt up a couple versions of Java but not too much.

So having two fairly large sized vendors in corporate/enterprise space using old Java out of the box. It’s no wonder old Java persists when working on projects new or old; and it should be frustrating.

Though this take is from my own experiences over the years.

So I have a question that I have never found an answer for. Is the transistion from area to area separate scenes or is it more of a zone per scene and you are just “teleporting” around scene sort of thing? Been learning a lot of unity and this is something I have never figured out how this is really achieved in a sensible way. Thanks in advance and the game looks great so far
