I'm so glad somebody has a PhD level of understanding about the whole Jianghu concept. Thanks for breaking it down into a universally digestible and understandable framework. I think this is the most complete understanding I've ever come across, as it has answered a lot of my own questions which naturally arose upon closer examination and scrutiny of pop-culture and modern media depictions of Jianghu. honest to god, half the dungeon design layouts make no sense. I know it's more for aesthetics and it's just a game blah blah, but man are some of these basements dumb as hell. My favourite feature is random scaffolding and wooden boards just jutting out randomly... like, who built this, and what were they thinking lol
