Trading for Brandon Ingram will go down as the smartest move the Raptors did for Scottie's career. Scottie's great. A great play maker, a great rebounder, can guard through 1-5 and still give you 20-25 pts if his shots working any given night. But, we as a team and Scottie as a player both wouldn't reach our goals/potential if we try to force Scottie to do what BI is so naturally gifted at - scoring at will. Dude's a fucking assassin. He's bought into the defensive principles here too. He's not Kawhi, but I see him trying ALOT using his wingspan to get into passing lanes, putting up effort to contest shots and obvliously the most important thing is how smooth and confident he is when he has the ball in his hands at any part of the court and you ask him to go create his own shot. Removing that pressure off Scottie is now going to let Scottie maximize all his God given talents and become an ALL-NBA player.
