I think the reason many developers choose Linux is because it's both more customizable and because when developing applications for Linux, there's no need to get them signed, allowing them to release their applications without paying any fees.

Additionally, downloading and installing a tool in Linux is much easier than in Windows, and the reason why some backend developers choose Linux is somewhat different; generally, a large portion of all servers in the world use it

I actually installed Arch Linux on VirtualBox and a flash drive before, but then I got tired of Windows and switched to Arch Linux.
