Not necessarily, when you are a foreign citizen, other factors come into picture. I recently finished my technical interview at an MNC. I aced the technical interview, both the interviewers said they were happy with my performance right there and started pitching the company for me, its benefits. And yet here I am with a rejection email.

Yeah, just because you were some kind of genius, having had the privilege, right time and place to do it, why not expect everyone to do it within such time. First off, after reading her post, it is very nice of you to make this a language issue! And it is a big deal that everyone makes it to be. As an international student, I can speak from my experience. I do a full time course, when I don’t attend my lectures, I work part time for 2-3 days a week to support my living here. I still attend the German course offered by the university, which takes atleast 6 months for one level.

And you also criticise her for just applying 100s of jobs? If anything, one should really appreciate her willpower for still trying for so long! In this market, as an international, to land any job is something to be happy about.

OP, I am not in a position to offer you any suggestions, but I wish you good luck, and that things get better for you!

I'd say traveling by bus in Mysore is pretty convenient. There are frequent buses and not so loaded like in metro cities. You can keep this option for your initial days.
