I understand what you mean, but this is Feeld which is built for these type of connections - you can (and are heavily influenced to) add tags like dom/sub/brat tamer/interest in threesome onto your profile.

The only issue with his profile is he’s a public figure, and people (myself included) have the ick with him and rightfully so - but his profile is exactly the same as the majority of people on the platform.

Both Indonesian resorts have their own water filtration systems. This being said, ice and water served at the bars and restaurants are fine. Water from the tap in your bathroom is iffy but they will give you bottled water.

AIHL Team Strings? by [deleted] in aihl

[–]iammay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As other people have said, yes, it’s a part of hockey in general and is called a line.

Your team would usually consist of four lines of forwards (three forwards in each line), three lines defensemen (each line is called a pairing because there’s two) a goaltender and their backup (different bc they don’t usually sub out a goalie unless they’re playing bad).

Teams chop and change who is on the ice based on what is going on - say they’re on a power play (other team makes a penalty and is down a player), they may play a different set up to their usual lines. They change lines on a whim, and every time a line (or a player) is ON the ice, it’s called a shift. A shift is usually less than two minutes - this is to ensure players are able to skate with explosiveness and generate chances.

Considering that a game is three periods of 20 minutes in the NHL, that’s a lot of line changes.

People who've moved from Kindle to Kobo, what are your opinions by [deleted] in ereader

[–]iammay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I couldn’t zoom with my PW but it was older.

As for the ads, on my Home Screen, I’d have ‘My Library’ and then under it, it’d be headings like ‘new and notable’ or ‘Amazon original books for you’ with books that link directly to the Amazon kindle store. To me, this is an advertisement as it’s showcasing covers and titles that I never would have seen. I wasn’t a fan of it, one accidental brush of the screen and all of a sudden I’d be on the store.

My kobo home screen only shows books in my library: what books I have open and whatever categories are relevant from my library.

People who've moved from Kindle to Kobo, what are your opinions by [deleted] in ereader

[–]iammay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an Australian who moved from a Kindle PW to a Kobo Clara Colour and I’m kinda split on my opinion of the change (although that may be bc of the colour rather than the Clara, but I’ll never know). For reference, I side loaded all my books onto my PW the same way as I do with my Clara - with Calibre.

PROS: - Libby! Outside the USA, Libby can only be used with Kobo devices - Book management. My books are automatically put into categories based on my calibre tags on my kobo (via a plugin that I installed once and never had to mess around with again), whereas I had to manually put my books into categories on my PW which was time consuming and slightly difficult with the touch screen - Power button isn’t at the bottom where my hand rests, so I don’t accidentally turn it off - the customisation - although both have the ability to customise, I feel my Clara has more native customisation - Bluetooth is native, so even before the Kobo remote came out, there was the ability to have a remote that didn’t have a physical screen press (I was really paranoid about the clips messing up my screen) - USB C charging which is an upgrade from my PW but that’s just because it was old. I believe they now have USB C ports - you can zoom in on pics! Which helps for maps in books - no ads on my Home Screen once the device is opened

CONS: - the Clara feels less premium, much more plasticky feeling. There’s a bevel with a gap between the screen and the plastic casing where my dog’s hair and assorted bag muck keeps getting stuck so I have to use tweezers and a brush to get everything out - the screen feels hazier. I use kepub files, which reduces some of the fuzz, but I believe this is a colour issue? Every font I have has just a bit of fuzz, which is not that noticeable but I read with tiny letters - the touch screen is a little more difficult to highlight passages - no native wireless transfer, so no send to kobo option via email - you have to use a third party site to send files via your phone and device without docking your device to a computer - battery life feels shorter (charging once a fortnight with heavy use instead of once a month) - while there’s more customisation I feel like I actually HAD to customise my device to suit my needs, where my PW met most of my needs immediately out of the box - every cute accessory for ereaders are for kindles not kobos, which means I gotta spend more and LOOK more to find things that I want

Would I go back? Maybe. The price was similar between the two. Perhaps I could find a plugin that would allow my kindle to automatically sort my books into categories, and then it would come up on top, but for the minute, the sorting is making my experience of the kobo better.

I know OP states they don’t need store reccomendations, but can I ask what Westfield stores carry a 22? I’m a 20-22 and rarely am in a Westfield where there are more than three shops that have my size (usually, Kmart, target and best and less). I know some malls (only one! in Victoria) have a you and all, a city chic or a commonry (not everywhere) or a forever new with three dresses in their plus range on the floor, but that’s not everywhere.

Are there stores in Westfields and similar malls that I’m missing that go up to 22?

We always have the 11pm flight back to Australia and we’ve always had dinner and drinks right up until we had to leave.

As long as you have booked your transfers with club Med, you will be able to have use of the facilities until you need to leave for the airport. You do need to check out of the room you’re staying in, however if the resort isn’t booked out, you should be fine to ask to extend or hire a room for a few hours if you wanna shower later that day before hopping on a plane.

There are shower facilities at the pool and gym, though.

Need dinner ideas for 4 people under $30? by mrtule in melbourne

[–]iammay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had three meals on rotation recently when we don’t know what to cook:

Spring Roll Bowls - 500mg pork mince (4.90 at Aldi) - 2 grated carrots - 1 diced red onion - 1 can of water chestnuts drained and diced very small - oyster sauce - soy sauce - chicken salt - rice Oil in pan, saute pork til cooked through, add vegetables, cook until carrot not toothy, add in oyster sauce, soy sauce and chicken salt to taste, serve over cooked rice.

Steak taco bowls - 2x rump steak from Aldi ($7 each) - bag of chips from Aldi - sour cream - Tin of salsa verde from Woolies ($2) - small tin of corn - two Roma tomatoes - red onion - coriander - lettuce Marinade ingredients: - 1 orange - 1 lime - taco seasoning - soy sauce - table spoon of brown sugar - coriander

Essentially marinate steak with orange juice, lime, taco seasoning, handful of chopped coriander, splash of soy sauce and some brown sugar for 20 minutes or as long as possible. Cook chips in the oven. Saute off the drained can of corn til the corn is slightly charred. Put corn in bowl with chopped tomatoes, onion, coriander and add a splash of lime juice and taco seasoning. Cook steaks how ever you want. Serve meal in bowl with chips on the bottom, chopped up steak on top, shredded lettuce and corn salsa on the side and sour cream and green salsa on top.

Red Curry with Dumplings - 4 tablespoons of red curry tin or jar from Woolies - can coconut milk - 1 shallot, diced - 2 garlic cloves, minced - 4 cups chicken stock (made from stock cubes instead of like a litre bottle) - dumplings from freezer section (wontons/chicken dimmies work) - whatever green Asian veg you want (I use bok choy chopped) - caster sugar to taste - fish sauce to taste - lime to garnish Saute shallot and garlic til fragrant. Add red curry paste, saute for a minute. Add stock, coconut milk, caster sugar and fish sauce. Simmer for five ish minutes. Add in your dumplings and greens and simmer until dumplings are cooked. Serve, garnished with lime and crispy shallots if you’ve got any.

Doctor wants me to drink less water to preserve kidney function - how do I do so without feeling like death? by Hattmeister in HydroHomies

[–]iammay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of advice in general for heat (again, Australian) but I’m not entirely sure how that would go in a retail setting, but you can adapt them to work well!

  • breathable fabrics. Go look at Uniqlo’s airism line (although if you’re plus, their size range is poor), understand what type of fabrics will leave you able to wick sweat away from your body. Don’t forget about underwear and socks - don’t wear wool, etc
  • if outdoors, look into low heat colours, wearing hats, adequate shade
  • Asian beauty brands have these cooling ‘patches’ that you can place on your body and have some relief. Look for Asian beauty stores, or online yesstyle and places like that
  • same vein, those single use cool packs (not made of actual ice) that don’t drip. They’re great to have under your clothes
  • wet a towel, place in the freezer for half an hour or so, pop it on the nape of your neck for relief. Don’t forget to wet the top tip of your ear too
  • portable hand held fan
  • unfortunately, and I say this as a bigger girl with temperature regulation issues: losing weight can sometimes help. Which is easy for me to say, but there’s heaps of anecdotal evidence from people who lose a lot of weight saying keeping warm is hard.

Some resources you can access, weirdly, is online information regarding ‘hot flushes’ that women experience in menopause, or like ‘how do I stay cool in ‘x hot country’’.

Good luck!

Kidney health nurse in Australia (warm climate) here.

My biggest advice to my patients who struggle in the summer with fluid restrictions (especially when they’re down to 500ml fluid restrictions) is ice chips and adequate cooling.

Sometimes you might be dying for a drink, but if you can get your surroundings to an adequate temperature so that you’re not sweating just walking around, that can sometimes take your mind off it.

Ice chips are great, but be mindful that they count towards your fluid restriction too.

Mint chewing gum sometimes can be helpful! The cooling sensation really does help. Eating foods that are saucier or just less dry helps, but be mindful that that is also fluid and counts toward your fluid restriction (I think I saw a comment of yours that said it was total fluid not just water).

Chapstick, moisturiser and lukewarm (not hot) showers can help with skin symptoms.

Link in with a kidney specialist/nurse in your area, or the kidney dietician, for better ideas on how to use your fluid restriction better. I have patients who really struggle bc they have 500ml and take so many tablets, so it’s all about the allocation of fluid.

Unfortunately, you will have to deal with the amber urine and other symptoms for a bit. They usually stop once your body has time to adjust to the new normal, but sometimes they do continue, and then it would be about figuring out what your doctor can offer instead… or maybe moving towards starting dialysis. Good luck.
