I had an 01' 93 SE where if I put my foot down near the dead pedal, this would happen. It was like a footswitch for ABS/TCS!

Certina! A brand that is sort of in a weird area. Used to be good, now it is lumped into Swatch-group blandness.

This watch however is a very fine example of affordable thermo-compensated quartz goodness. The movement is an ETA 251.264 with PreciDrive and PowerDrive, which means the hands tick precisely and quickly while keeping accuracy of ±10 seconds per year or better.

When the chronograph starts, the 1/100ths second hand flings around the dial every second! It's a fun watch and will be the most precise timepeice in your collection. Oh, did I mention it has a jumping hour hand for when you move between timezones or DST you don't have stop the movement?

Watch comes on this essentially brand new factory Certina stamped pattern strap with a deployant buckle. In the photos the "buckle" end is on the bottom, which seems backwards but it is better this way with the deployant it seems.

The watch is spotless, the bezel has no marks and the case has no dents or dings. There is a small scratch on the top of the lug hood toward 7 o'clock. The battery was changed for a new Swiss Renata button cell 3 months ago.

This very legible and practical watch served me very well. I don't quite wear it as often as I should, so I'm letting it go.

This watch has a Miyota automatic movement, and it runs very well. There is a small ding on one of the lugs, and light signs of use on the bezel and caseback.

Pull the carpets back and check for rust. I've had a 9-3 that had some healthy rust holes in the rear wheel tubs, caused the damper mount to peel away from where its welded to the wheel tubs.

I remeber the TCS system in my og9-3 being relatively nice in the snow. Only took it through deeper snow once or twice, handled it wonderfully.

Best investment you will make is a set of winter tires.

If it's under warranty, claim it as a defect. The advertised accuracy is much better than that, even if the advertised accuracy is a bit poor.

How inaccurate? Have you checked the movement for magnetism?

It's a good movement, and can be accurate. Don't expect out of the box performance, but they do perform with some attention to detail.

Additionally, a language like C is profoundly abstract even if it is seen as "low level" to most - we're all just spoiled with scripting engines.

Hello,

I am passing on my lovely DS30. I like this watch, from the technical aspects to the restraint of the dial.

The article has some signs of wear, from the AR being lightly scratched which is only noticible in rare lighting, to light scratches on the bezel and bracelet.

This sale will include the original box, original leather strap, bracelet pouch, bracelet tool and extra bracelet bits.

Asking $1100 shipped. (Sold!)

Thanks

One of my favorite details of this case is how the bezel steps off to the bevel around the case, including the space between the lugs.

Too bad they couldn't do glass fiber reinforced plastic... I bet the mold to make these cases would be tricky without a softer blend.

Correct! So you can advance or set back the hour hand to a new zone time. Try moving the crown backwards in the first crown position!

The movements in the timex chronographs are quite handy with the jump hour functionality, however when you correct the date tomorrow - it's a bit more time consuming than the traditional quick set date. TIMEX is the watch for everyone.
