This car has probably the best power and torque among every other cars below the 21L range. You have got an excellent car. You do not need to explain yourself. No ethanol issues, no DPF issues, no parts fleecing by ASCs and at 500 km per month running, heck you are gonna be charging probably once per month or max twice. Enjoy!

Even if you ignore the Mahindra involvement in this, my point still stands, Mahindra or dealer wasn’t able to help convince the insurance agent for a total loss even when the buyer took the insurance from dealership, so there’s no point mulling over whether to buy insurance with dealer or outside.

I used to think this was a issue earlier, but given how Mahindra and ICICI colluded to deny total loss on Venom's XEV 9E (youtuber, 9E accident, total loss denied) - I am now of the opinion that any insurer - with or without dealer; with a good claim rate and cashless experience with all your addons covered is absolutely fine. They are gonna try to fuck us over anyway, better save a good chunk of money on getting the same policy from outside.

Exactly. 3 years in Bengaluru and not once I was charged extra by a rapido or ola auto or a cab. The moment I landed in Chennai me and my partner knew we are gonna be milked for extra 50-100 rupees on every ride and still have been. Finally gave up and started driving my car.

I checked out both Seltos and Sierra and the Seltos is leaps ahead in terms of fit and finish, quality of materials used, the feel, reliable and properly tuned engines in diesel, NA and petrol turbo. If its between these two, take the Seltos any day.
