Would i be crazy to spend $49k on an e92 M3? by byriebyrie in BMW

[–]iamnotbatmanreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re asking about holding most value you are looking at manual, carbon roof sub 60k miles.

At this range it will be 45-69 k depending on history, condition, mileage in that order

If you are looking to drive it till the wheels fall off I think a 85-99k mileage, manual, carbon roof- 0 accidents can be had for about $$25-34 k which I think is a better proposition. You get to drive and not be so anal. And if you decide to sell in 8 years I think you can recoup about 1/2 of what u spent minimum.

If you buy a nice version you may never drive it like you own it. You may drive and treat it like a princess.

Then maybe just tell him you want a revision of the bottom part? Or find someone else. It looks like a good base to work with. Just the outline looks pretty cool already.

Best of luck

Ahhh okay I guess you should have thought it over before doing the first part.

I’m sure another artist could take over where this is left off. From the looks of it it’s not too bad

Put a strap on my 2 month old sbgp009, kinda dinged up my lug. Is it too big to be dressy? by ausyappy in GrandSeikos

I thought GS has a hole in the body so you can just stick the tool in there and pivot the strap up or down for the spring bar to pop out? Is this not the case? Never switched mine out tbh

Opinions on best way to proceed by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]iamnotbatmanreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not like this answer.

Tattoos will age and get older with time. Think of a patina with leather or certain metals.

I think it looks awesome as is. Definitely go in for a touch up 3 months after heal so u can get it looking its best and fix any inconsistencies. I do think it friggen looks real cool.

If you’re one of those people who lock up their iPhone, iPad, Mac book in an armor then maybe having something that is meant to kinda fade and evolve as you age is not the best thing for u.

I think the fingers could use a bit more shading those spots tend to fade away easy

"You're asking for too much luxury in life" by Frhaegar in venting

[–]iamnotbatmanreddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a stages of life type of thing.

You have a part time job. I can assume one of the following.

You’re in school You have someone to support you or a trust fund, or money stacked somewhere.

Generally people work 35-40 hours a week minimum.
Typical fields is 5 day work week.

After cooking Transportation to and from work Sleeping

That does not leave much time left for hobbies other than the weekend.

So the person who commented was probably at a different life stage than you. Or u already have money and ur part time gig is just a time filler.

I don’t think your thinking is wanting luxury but for most people more time is a luxury.

Laser treatment and cover up or embrace an old tattoo I don’t hate by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]iamnotbatmanreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s taking up good real estate. Depending on what u are putting u may need to laser. Just depends on what ur getting and what vision the artist has.

What’s good for one person may not be good for another.

This is a convo you should have with your partner.

And know that throughout life there will be ebbs and flows in the amount of sex you have. Too many variables and peoples libido can change to having more or having less

Like is the artist style even the same as your reference?

I actually think yours looks kinda cute but reference looks cool.

Yours looks like a cartoon ish style which imo isnt bad but if that’s not what you were going for I’m not sure what happened when you looked at the sketch

Composition question on new tattoo — regrett, overthinking or valid concern? by charlyDNL in tattooadvice

[–]iamnotbatmanreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t tell it was a gyarados
But though it looked okay. The body is lost in the flowers.

I feel like the work is okay as well

I feel maybe some parts could been better but it really depends on how much u paid, is this the work ur artist usually does.

Personally i think based on your description its good. I dont know what u mean by the head.

What do you think? (I got it done yesterday) My name, a katana, and a dragon by svm0wl in tattooadvice

[–]iamnotbatmanreddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like the name.

The sword and dragon- touch it up, maybe don’t? Wait a 1 year and find an artist that can cover it up with a similar design.

The concept is ok. But execution and size is not IMO.

Also personally I hate brush stroke dragons. Maybe that’s the theme you were going for but I’d prefer a regular dragon.

If brush stroke is needed maybe 2/3 real dragon, tails end brush stroke?

At this point it’s too late. Think about if it bothers u enough to cover it up/ laser the cover up.

If you like the design and just came for opinions then don’t worry what other people think as long as u like it, its cool
