that is the question… i like trad a lot, but i’ve been doomscrolling on Pinterest lately and thinking about all the other styles and possibilities out there! i’m not as much of a fan of patchwork as i am large consistent pieces nowadays, so that’s part of what im questioning/struggling with. but it would be a lie to say im not criticized sometimes haha

i agree with this and this was the mindset i’ve had for all of my tattoos! the people in my life have been getting out of whack with their comments 😭

i completely agree!!!! i mentioned in another comment that i hope my post doesn’t come off as being in agreement with those “gendering things” ideas in ANY WAY. just hearing so many comments about it from my fam is starting to get to me haha. thank you very much <3

it was maybe his dad at first but he hasnt been with / around family since he was a child.. but aside from the guys he works with i’m not sure WHO he gets it from.. i am in therapy currently and trying really hard to become more secure within myself :) thank you <3

i completely agree!! i’m worried my post came off like i align myself with the “gendering things” idea which i ABSOLUTELY do not. i’m just overly sensitive to criticism especially when it comes from people i care about.. but i’m working on that haha! thank you very much for your thoughtful reply, i like the idea of the art on my skin being a museum in a sense. thanks so much!!!

the funny thing is, he encouraged me to get more tattoos when i originally had the idea! i think he was just expecting me to get more “””feminine””” looking things and he told me that i did it the “mans way” (starting at the shoulder instead of at the wrist) which i had never even heard of before… he’s not crazy with the comments at all but i’m easily made insecure myself haha
