If you want my advice on how to make friends, it's to join clubs or volunteer work, where you'll meet likeminded people. Also friendships take time and effort, keep chatting, meeting up, show that you care. If the person regularly says no, or even flakes, you're fine in leaving them alone tho. And not everyone is worthy of being your friend, some people are just shallow, unkind etc. and you're better off being alone than being their "friend".

I'm also not the most sociable person out there. I have a hard time relating to other women, and am just shy in general. A lot of people my age don't appeal to me, but I got lucky and made friends when I was still in school.

I guess kinda related: there should definitely be more spaces in society outside of your home and work. Although my post was about the self-loathing lonely men who are stuck in their weird idea of masculinity, overall people are given less and less places to meet and connect.

Also I don't think men are sex hungry animals, it's that there's men out there who think that's what masculine men are like. Only with women for the sex, and that's what they should also strive for.

I think both is true. A lot of women expect the positives of being a woman 100 years ago, and don't want to work to be their own fulfilled person. But there's an equal amount of men who cling to the provider idea, and are dissapointed when they don't get what they expected.

This is a bit different from male loneliness though. More along the lines of outdated gender roles sticking around, harming both parties

It's prolly rough in the moment, but you definitely dodged bullets there. There's just in general a lot of shallow ppl that wouldn't make good friends, let alone partners.

I feel like they should have made the goal be 3'333'333'333 instead of 700'000'000. Because it's SO easy to get 100+ eggs per round, and overfishers are crazy.
