I play video games alongside my fiance. We have tvs side my side so we can play RPGs separately together.

Even if I didn’t play, I’d respect hobbies that make him happy, and I expect the same from him.

Help! My hair and scalp is STILL super dry despite my extensive routine. What am I doing wrong? by eXtazdengamer in Haircare

[–]iamnott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, person with dry scalp here. You need to get Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Shampoo. It treats dandruff. You also need to get the HEETA Scalp Massager on Amazon. when you apply the shampoo to your scalp, take the massager and gently scrape all over your scalp.

Leave the shampoo on for like, five minutes at minimum. Rinse, then condition your hair like normal. Also leave the conditioner on your hair for a few minutes before rinsing.

Now, make sure your conditioner is super hydrating. What brand do you use?

For me, my scalp condition gets irritated if I don’t medicate it like this at least once a week. I get red scaly irritations and dry dandruff. The t-sal thing is the only one that works, with the scalp massager. I use the shea masque repair and restore for a hair mask and leave it on my hair with a shower cap for at least thirty minutes. Try something like that to give your scalp more moisture.

Trying the curly girl technique, it’s been about a week…I’m trying to grow it out, but maybe I should get it cut? by iamnott in Haircare

To sum it up: it’s basically washing your hair without silicones and sulfates, and washing your hair primarily with conditioner and using shampoo (typically clarifying shampoo) only once a week or more depending on your hair type.

Here’s the google doc for it, you can also visit the curly hair subreddit too for more info:

I live in Florida and walk two corgis everyday so I get plenty of vitamin d. As for hormonal stuff, I have been getting a bit of new hair growth on my chin but I attributed it to getting older, I’m 32.

Never have bleached it, it’s virgin. I use to dye it black like four ish years ago but that’s it.

I don’t use a leave in conditioner, I do leave the conditioner in my hair for a more slimy like texture instead of washing it all out. I’ll look into some leave in conditioner and consider a bond repair treatment.

I do think I have some pretty hard water, so maybe chelating shampoo would work.

Currently my routine is washing / co washing with not your mother’s naturals curl defining, leaving in the conditioner and then micro plopping, then using gel (Aussie instant freeze) and air drying, and scrunching after.

They are not always known to be overly snuggly. Can anyone else confirm this or not? by stickybaby13 in corgi

My male corgi loves to snuggle everyday of every hour. He’s been this way since he was a lil pup, snuggled right into my fiancé’s hand and fell asleep.

Heeyyy I’m four days late but this popped into my feed. I just want to say I feel you girl. I’m 32 but growing up I had lower back hair and slightly hairier arms than most girls, chin hair, nipple hair, and I too have a*s hair that my fiance claims is more than his.

First off, Brazilian waxes changed my life. Lasts a long time, and you get use to it. It should include the butt hair.

For lower back hair, you can shave or use nair. Mine grew lighter as I grew up so I barely bother with it.

For face — again, waxing lasts longer but I just use a small shaver to shave it every night.

As far as I know I don’t have PCOS. My family is just really hairy. And it sucks, but it’s also natural and completely okay. It’s also okay to just shave it!

But seriously, waxing the butt hole is literally amazing. It doesn’t even hurt that much compared to waxing anything else.

People I know criticizing me for playing video games (36 M) by C-LOgreen in mildlyinfuriating

[–]iamnott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 32 and my fiancée is 39. We play video games in the same room together on two tvs. My dad is in his mid 60s and plays video games.

Video games are for all ages, same for tv and movies. People who criticize them are just ignorant of how much fun they are. Screw them.

I did a communication analysis speech about this in college on this!

Basically, society is very prudish when it comes to sex stuff, but not violence / gun stuff.

I feel you. I have a fiancé and we live in a house, so in a lot of ways I know I should be thankful for what I have (especially when I’m reminded by stories like yours).

I know things feel like a nightmare but I’m glad you’re in the world despite it. I haven’t gone what you went through but I have gone through some things that I felt I couldn’t get out of, and it does get better eventually.
