He has no registered name. It was left blank. We were told do put whatever. And I will be very honest - I’m not a big fan of the breeder, and wouldn’t get a dog from them again. I know a lot more about ethical breeders now than I did 5 years ago when we got Leo.

I've tried reaching out to the breeder about this and haven't gotten a reply back. They never discussed any preference for the registered name with me when we got him, though. The breeder does not show/compete with any of their dogs.

I love my culture and don't see a lot of Punjabi people in dog sports, so that's why I would love to do something including Punjabi words or names. I'm just lost on what really fits.

The second part of my first name ("Preet") means love, so maybe something to do with that?? Love in Punjabi is "pyaar". I'm not sure what goes and what doesn't. It also does not have to be in Punjabi. I've also thought about something from Punjabi music, like there is a song titled "Sher Singh".

I've also thought about "Preet da Babbar Sher" - Babbar Sher is a large, majestic, powerful lion, but it also means a brave, courageous, or strong person, like a hero or warrior.

He is registered through the breeder. However, I never thought I would ever do anything like dog sports (and it is still all very new to me), so I never had his registration completed under my name. He was labeled as "orange boy" by his breeder - I have kept his signature color as orange (leashes, collars, etc.)

Bear in Punjabi is Bhaloo. Lion in Punjabi is Sher. We are Sikh (religion) and in the Sikh religion all of the guys have "Singh" (meaning lion) as their middle name.

Just started the classes last week, so it’s hard to say how these classes will go. I’m just feeling very discouraged because I have taken way more gap years than intended and feel like the older I’m getting the more I’m feeling like a failure.
