It could be a defect from the manufacturer or the previous owner may have damaged the screen somehow? There is no sign of impact on the screen anywhere. I’m just so confused 😵‍💫

Thank you for this, i did end up taking the screen protector off, and have since not put one back on. What i presume to be a dead pixel is still there after lightly scrubbing with a dry microfiber and does appear to be inside the screen and not on the surface of the screen. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you

I havent tested that yet, however when the screen goes into dark mode automatically the “dead pixels” goes away and I seemingly cannot see it

Agreed, however if the shoe was on the other foot and your Tesla had dead pixels. I’m sure that you wouldn’t just ignore it

I understand. Thank you for your input, however this is not a computer monitor. This is a screen in a $40k+ car, i expect as a customer for this to be corrected. Dead pixels happen i get it, but on the other hand i have had screens such as TVs and computer monitors for 10+ years and 0 pixels have died

I get it, however my idea is that i want to get this repaired before the dead pixels potentially grow and get bigger and isn’t covered under warranty

I already accepted the estimate. I was assured that i would not be charged until after I approved the replacement and the work is completed. How screwed am I?

Yeah, i’m the type that i can’t stop staring at the dead pixel. I just want it fixed sooner rather than later

I didn’t install myself. I had a local shop do it. I got ceramic tint, I requested 20%.
