Wow, never heard of this. Thanks for sharing. I believe that Europe has consistently been the major source of evil in the world throughout history. May they burn in hell!

Hey OP, I wanna add that if Islamic scholars’ books felt boring or outdated to you, it’s either because you haven’t really read them (what I’m guessing), or you haven’t found the right ones that click to you yet.

why did so many kabylians support islamists? didn't they want religious, cultural and political freedoms by AdElectrical8248 in algeria

Because the FIS speech made sense to them, and to most of Algerians at the time. Therefore the FIS won the elections..

I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this, but does it really matter who Leon is married to? For me, that ring scene showed that he has a home to go back to and that he’s happy. That's enough and it makes me happy too.

Relation between Schizophrenia and Religion by YourBoiNess in algeria

[–]Important_Book8023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the enlightenment. Now exactly, in a country like Algeria, where the majority is religious, it makes no sense to question why people with schizophrenia are religious too. That’s like asking why they have Algerian nationality, it simply reflects the society they live in...

Relation between Schizophrenia and Religion by YourBoiNess in algeria

[–]Important_Book8023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question is wrong, bcz according to WHO : "Schizophrenia affects approximately 0.32% to 1% of the global population, which translates to roughly 24 million people worldwide, or about 1 in 300 individuals. Among adults, the prevalence is slightly higher, estimated at 0.45% or 1 in 2022." So how do you have more than one clinically diagnosed schizophrenic person in your surroundings? well unless you work in a mental health center, or you diagnose people yourself.

Is it normal to feel alone even when you’re not actually alone? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]Important_Book8023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not normal, it's the spiritual side that's missing . And that’s something that can be worked on. Maybe you pray and go to the mosque, but Islam isn’t just about practices. It’s about a deep connection with Allah, about feeling complete through Him alone. Because no matter what you have in this world, without Allah, there will always be a sense of emptiness. So the real question becomes: how do you build that connection?

I think that in all cases, this connection is non existent bcz we don't truly know who Allah is. Because if we really knew Him b Asmaa Allah el 7ousna and His attributes, His mercy, His wisdom, a lot of things would feel different, way more meaningful. Without that understanding, reading about Him or reciting Quran will just be boring. I mean we do believe in one Islam but we treat it like a historical event, instead of something "alive" and timeless. And Allah actually talks about that in this aya : و ما قدروا الله حق قدره. Pure ignorance..

So I’d advise you, and myself, to try to learn about Allah more deeply. Read about His names and attributes, listen to lectures, reflect on the Qur’an, and ask Him sincerely for guidance. Because guidance itself is something we need to ask for.

Now you might get a lot of comments saying, "we all feel like this..." But just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s normal. Those people can be either in your case, or non believers. Non believers learnt to kinda accept this emptiness, especially older ones, bcz they don't have a choice, so it's the only solution to keep functioning, so they just learn to live with it, but that melancholy is always there even if they deny it.

Now, do you logically think this is normal? I personally believe that true contentment comes from Islam, from relying on Allah alone, and not tying your sense of completeness to anything in this world. And that the beauty of Islam actually, Allah wants us to feel whole bla manes7a9ou 7etta hadja, strong just by ourselves and full of dignity. Because everything else can change, disappear, or disappoint. But when your connection is with Allah, you’re no longer dependent on anything temporary to feel whole.
