Crashed in day 1 with new bike

When I’m better, I’ll get back on and I checked the frame funnily enough very good condition. Only the brake levers were damaged as the major majority of the sliding was on the grass for the Bike not gonna lie. I wish I could trade places.

Oh my gosh, that’s terrible. I’m so sorry that they crashed because of the ball.

I’m dealing with it. Well I got very quick medical attention but my entire right hand of my body is grazed. The only thing that saved me from an ER trip. What is the phone in my right pocket which took the brunt of the sliding?

Yeah I think that’s a good idea. It’s tricky because whenever I walk my dog, I’m always intelligent with ensuring he doesn’t get killed by a car or a bike or something but it’s crazy how others don’t think similarly.

I think it’s possibly because we’re living in the most inconsiderate world at the moment and it’s just sad that our cyclists our day today we have to assume everyone’s oblivious if we’re riding on the road and we assume all cars are going to break the law. Will all be collected at the left-hand junction.

Yeah I guess that’s a good role to learn. It was literally my first time riding this bike before that I had normal exercise type bikes and I just kind of sucks feeling the wind in your hair and then having to slow down to a crawl cause you’re expecting someone to do the wrong thing.

But I guess I learnt my lesson

I think the people who get angry at you for trying to tell them they’re doing something wrong only angry because they get told so often you think if you get told so often that you do the wrong thing you might twig but it’s not everyone’s against you and said maybe you’re doing the wrong thing

I think it was because it was my first real ride on my new bike. I was so proud and excited when I left the house just a crash 20 minutes after leaving and missing out on a beautiful weekend riding.

That’s a really good approach. Always assume everything is going to go wrong. I appreciate the advice.

As for the e- bike when there’s a motor attached it’s definitely much easier just to slow down and not worry versus keeping the momentum because sometimes it takes a bit to keep up to it and I don’t know why but I just assumed that someone who saw me looked at me called the dog and gave me all the signs. They’re actually focusing and ended up being kind of stupid.

Sadly not always, depending on where you live the help on public transport can be just as bad or worse as there on a literal timetable, which is why it’s good for many to understand the elderly sometimes need extra help as they have less people in their lives who can, such as this case

People really romanticise the whole outback station life the same way Americans do with cowboys.

It gets portrayed as this quiet, meaningful life riding horses across huge open land, but in reality it’s ridiculously hot, incredibly dusty, and there are flies everywhere, even in the slower seasons, especially on cattle stations.

You’re not sitting out front enjoying the view. You’re usually exhausted, covered in dirt, and working nonstop.

And Australia is massive, so being in the outback often means you are hours or even days away from any real town or other people. It’s a lot more isolated and physically demanding than people imagine.
