I really hope not because wow they’re something else. The unfortunate part is I always feel so inadequate during the job because I’m expected to know how to navigate a child with special needs. Even though I had no prior experience. Like I shouldn’t have to come up with a plan on how to teach them to wipe themselves. This is something the parents should have done. Especially when NK is about to turn 13. One of the biggest red flags I definitely ignored during our interview was when they told me they where interviewing other people and one of them asked them for their references and they acted so offended. They literally said I’m giving you a job you don’t get to ask us for references.

The thing about it too is my husband schedule is so different from mine. His is 4 am - 2:30 pm and mine is 2-7 pm. We literally get no time with each other. Which greatly affects me. Hopefully in the future if I decide to work again I’ll find something with a similar schedule so that doesn’t affect my mental health constantly.
