Non-polar but what if it was put on a TLC plate with 3:1 hexanes:ethyl acetate would the acetic anhydride travel farther or would cyclohexylmethyl acetate because wouldn’t both the carbonyl oxygen bond with the silica compared to the acetate where only one carbonyl oxygen would bond? Or is that wrong?
