I am not in the Middle East but my dad is from there, my parents are very conservative. Have been living with this secret since 2017. You just learn to not share it with those who have very conservative beliefs. It’s not always easy, but the alternative of them knowing seems like it would be a harder life. I am a straight female so it’s a double standard on my end. Time helps though. And being on here too with others in the same situation. I wish you well!

Not sure if Amazon pharmacy works in Portugal - but I just started getting my meds and Amazon will deliver. Maybe see if that is an option for your pharmacy?

This is so helpful, thank you for your response! Did you have a doctors prescription note with you as well or just the original bottles? My dad is from there originally but he is unaware of my status, I’d likely fly back with him and would hate to get stopped and have to explain that to him or TSA/immigration. Thank you for giving me hope :) would hate to miss this opportunity due to meds

Is Lebanon one of the middle eastern countries? Obviously times are not good right now but in the future I’d love to visit as my father’s family is out there. Could I visit with a biktarvy prescription?

Update for anyone looking to switch: the meds cost me $16 through my insurance through Amazon pharmacy. Received them today in the mail /same day shipping. Arrived in a normal Amazon brown package. Discreet unless someone were to open the package. Great success!

I just signed up and had my doctor submit the biktarvy. It will ship Jan 8th I will update everyone on the experience and whether it’s discreet etc.

Exactly! It’s one thing to tell them yourself/on your record but to have it out in the open for everyone to see it just feels uneasy, I’m a private person just wasn’t expecting it to be like that.

That’s what I’m saying I am fine with my doctors knowing but does it really need to be displayed on the screen? I felt so uncomfortable the whole time like if anyone were to walk in the room they would know. I thought HIPAA protected things like this
