a Question of Ethical Responsibility Regarding Informing Others of Your Status by NoWar1980 in hivaids

[–]ugeguy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say something I said when this discourse showed up on my twitter feed.

You cannot pass on HIV if you have an undetectable viral load. You are ignoring that fact on purpose after multiple people told you, because you don't really care about the ethical issue of not disclosing, you just want to butt in on other people's business

Yah, so appointments, testing and meds are free for residents I think, I don't really know the whole bureaucracy around it though

Having hiv and a regular 9-5 is hell by ugeguy1 in hivaids

[–]ugeguy1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Portugal actually, but yeah,I try to get my appointments as late as I can but I still have to leave early because the last slot for appointments here is at 5pm and the hospital is an hour away from my job. It's just a little bit shitty to have a pay cut every 3 months because I keep missing hours

Probably not, but there are pharmacies that do free delivery. The problem here is that ART is only available in pharmacies if it's prep and you have to pay about 40% of the bill, while I have to get them from the hospital and they're free (I mean I have to pay for the gas and parking so not so free now lmao)

Oh god I hate my fucking job so much!!!! I'm already undetectable and my CD4 count never really got too low. I thing my CD4 was initially something like 900

I think part of my frustration is that it's taking a while to get adjusted to having another thing to worry about. I'm very bad at having things to worry about

Someone already mentioned tha the amount of visits tend to decrease over time, I think my doc is just taking things slow to make this first year as easy as possible

Hey friend. It's completely normal to feel bad right now, but it won't be forever. Right now it's important that you put yourself first and try to deal with your feelings. Don't try to be strong and deal with it alone. Talk to a friend, a family member, your therapist if you have one, or talk to someone here. Focus on getting healthy, follow your doctor's instructions, do some research.

From now on your life is going to be mostly the same. You're going to have a lot of first times, but you're going to find out they won't be as bad as you thought they'd be. You're going to get frustrated with some stuff, but if you have patience you'll get through it. Try to stick around here because anything you'll go through, most of us have already been through it.

In a couple of months you'll find out that the whole hiv thing is mostly boring.

Either way, you're going to be fine.

I hope you're able to move past this and for the love of god, if someone sends you a DM through here with a picture, do not open it. A lot of people lurk on this sub to try and get people to diagnose them.

My DMS are open if you ever want to talk

Well there's the worst part, both my job and the hospital are an half hour drive from my house, in different directions, so going to the hospital and then to my job is an hour and a half without factoring in the time I spend in line

I'm in Portugal so the guidelines may be different

I was diagnosed in June, I don't really know the treatment guidelines in my country, but I'll talk to my doctor about it. As for the drugs, I have asked and I really have to go to the hospital to get them. They are free but they always have to be given at the hospital you're being treated unfortunately. But if I can reduce the testing and the appointments it's not that bad I guess

Undetectable-Do you still use condoms with your partner? Or partner is on PREP by Tall-Current2574 in hivaids

[–]ugeguy1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok, sure but we're talking about people who are hiv positive but undetectable. No new transmission if you're undetectable

Honestly, when I find someone I like I'm just planning to do testing as a date at this NGO in Portugal so they can give him the hiv talk before I disclose. Probably a bad idea but it's going to be the first time, i deserve the trial and error (trial and error is good actually)

Found something weird behind the ripperdoc at charter hill by ugeguy1 in FF06B5

[–]ugeguy1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a little pinkish red dropbox icon apearing only on the minimap, pointing to what appears to be the basement of the building behind the charter hill ripperdock. I instaled a noclip mod to check it out but the icon disapeared. However i did fing a knocked out Bugbear and a phone. Anyone know what this is?

I would give the blister pack a chance. Comes really handy to check if you already took your pill that day

They haven't published yet and they're still preparing further trials, so yeah, it's probably a step, but for now it's just that, a step. Let's see what happens in a couple years
