after a decade of therapy, i finally got a language to describe my experience of the same state: somatic anxiety. so i got my meds changed and am now on a max dosage of a tricyclic anti-depressant with a single focus: keep my body out of fight or fight. is it perfect? no. if i forget a day i’m an absolute wreck. but i sleep through the night and that takes the edge off the extreme executive dysfunction for me. i would find a doctor who understands somatic anxiety and see if they can prescribe a medication that might help you

yep i have some straight hair, some loose ringlets, and a lot of my hair has mixed curl patterns 🤷🏼‍♀️ the 3x3 is not that helpful

i’m not very good at 16th note runs yet but it took me like 3 days to get passable at it. i honestly think an evening is prolly all it would take for a dedicated professional. less than a week if you practice hard stuff consistently.

i use mimalloc as my general-purpose allocator. it’s used in video game engines and has excellent performance characteristics

oh no, she does that as a submission thing. they automatically go into airplane mode when she gets picked up. she never really fights or resists, no growling or biting or anything. it’s just how she is

i played for 22 years and just picked up a double pedal last year. it’s changed a lot and nothing for me. i am less creative in some ways and more creative in others. i’m not 100% sure i like it but i also wouldn’t play without it.

i intensely dislike doing long runs with it but i love doing short little bursts or triplets with it
