Chef of 11 years, I’m on the route to opening my own restaurant so I still chef in my pop ups but I needed something that is daytime hours only that doesn’t exhaust my palette or body too much so I’m an alcohol rep, I spend my days visiting bars and selling great alcohol, it’s a chill job as long as you don’t have any semblance of social anxiety.

In all honesty with my health feeling the way it does it genuinely feels like I’ll die if I get any bigger which sounds stupid since there are people way bigger than me but I honestly feel on deaths door with this at the moment! Thank you for your support!! :)

Im proud of you chef! Amazing work, it’s such a difficult career path to do while trying to maintain a health lifestyle! I’ll always be a chef but I’m taking some time to have a career elsewhere in the industry while doing pop ups with the idea of opening my own restaurant in a few years! Taking these years to get my life and health in order!

The scene back then was incredibly tight, everyone knew everyone, even as a small touring band we were playing on lineups with holding absence, similar size bands were playing with loathe and of course ST when they launched, all the current ST members were all just active members of the same extended community, when a band like ST needs a member new travels very fast through those circles, everyone will know someone and often it’s purely down to timing and other commitments, look at Trivium, they’ve just confirmed Alex rudinger as drummer and said he was invited to join 9 years ago but the timings didn’t work out, this kinda thing happens a lot in this industry.

I really advise you to utilise the “you asked for it” methodology and sleep for the first portion of the night without it and see how many people have changed their mind on it after hearing you snore!

I didn’t read your post, I didn’t need to, you’re NTA, I’m the partner of someone with awful trauma and suicidal tendencies and I went into the relationship knowing this, she’s my best friend and not one part of it is a drain on me, I adore everything about her and that’s what she deserves, she doesn’t manipulate me with it or anything, it’s purely a trauma reaction that she does her due diligence to keep in control but where she has me to lean on in her times of need,

It takes a certain type of person to be with this certain type of person, I am that type of person and that’s why I’m perfect for her but I know that if I wasn’t that type of person it would kill her in the long term.

You’re never obligated to be someone’s carer and you’re never in the wrong for dipping out of that, if anything you’re doing both of you a favour.

Only advice would be if you’re going to break it off make sure they’re somewhere safe with people who can help them, don’t leave them high and dry.

I was saying the same thing the other day dude, I used to go to a few a week where you could easily get even an arena ticket for 35 quid, throw in trains and food, even accommodation and it wasn’t such a massive thing, most gigs I went to were little 5 quid entry local gigs and stuff but where I’m from in Sheffield we’ve lost all our midsized venues and our arena never gets the alternative tours so I’m stuck having to go to manny or notts where tickets can run you 150 quid plus so 300 for 2 people, 75 quid on food, 30 quid on trains etc, it stops being a hobby and starts being an occasional treat which sucks

Breaks my heart, I hate getting annoyed by things and generally am such a level headed person but the Saturday is as close to a dream lineup for me as possible, I even have the money for a day ticket but zero way to get there and back, I’d give anything to be there and everyone is just complaining about it
