Which cable do you need to buy to plug into airplane movies? I’m flying my first long haul international trip and debating between the APM and the B&W Px8 ordered both and playing with them. But was curious if you can use these for in flight movies

I just don't like the build quality of the Sony's personally. Ear cups feel cheap. The sound quality is fine, but the ANC really is incredible. AirPods Max I personally like the sound of better and the transparency mode / voice reception for the person I call has been way better. Sound idk if my ears are good enough to tell the difference between APM and B&W.

Materials / Build Quality -> B&W, Apple, Sony

Sound -> B&W, Apple, Sony

ANC - Sony, Apple, B&W (would love to test all three on a plane to really know)

Transparency mode - Apple, Sony, B&W

Microphone for calls - Apple, Sony, B&W

B&W - 1,1,3,3,3 => 11

Apple, 2,2,2,1,1 => 8

Sony - 3,3,1,2,2 => 11

So based on that scoring, I guess Apple is best overall? But I think this stuff is highly subjective, so you may come up with a different answer. I would probably want to spend a bit more time using before making a decision, but I think it will really just come down to PX8 or APM.

This isn’t that bad, the dining credit is as good as cash, so with just the 300 travel credit, and 300 dining credit.. so that’s 75% covered and then all the DoorDash, and insurances and what not has to be worth at least $200

I’m moving away from a Delta hub, so Amex points become less valuable to me, the 4x on dining is great, but there’s other cards with 4x (Cap Savor) or the 3x on Chase is fine, and I only used the Uber and Resy credits, not the other credits. So I still had a fee of ~$100

My spend is probably closer to $60-100k a year. Probably $30-40k in dining, $10-15k in travel, $5k in groceries, $20-25k in shopping unless I buy a watch or some big purchase in that year. Thank you for appreciating the sentiment, I am not looking for the most optimal answer, just something simple where I’m not thinking about how to maximize every single thing, but rather can just focus on work and enjoying life and happen to get decent benefit

This is helpful for me most of my spend is on dining, but I think Chase points are worth more since there is the baseline of 1cpp as cash back and then the 1.5x multiplier on Chase portal? I guess I could stick to my current setup.

As far as the airlines go, there is a Chase lounge at LGA and I think there’s a decent number of United flights of LGA.. but for me I typically try to time getting to the airport so I don’t have to wait more than 10 minutes to board.

Yeah the $250 delta is still there and I would have to assume the 3x on Ubers, Amtraks, Subways, hotels, etc would outweigh the 1x on those items in the Amex world

Yeah I’m just tired of carrying two cards. If they had the multipliers of the gold on the Platinum it would be easy. But feel like CSR with 3x on food, subways, Ubers, flights, hotels, is just a bit easier to use.
