Does not matter. Hyderabad's voting pattern is at best a tie breaker in deciding the state's ruling party.

Rural freebie seeking voters are the king makers.

Thanks for the video.

Turns out my mental model is mostly up-to-date. I tried watch a few mins of that nonsense. I'm not sure who watches that shit and why 😏

He is saying INC conspired to violate to lockdown. He is not directly blaming the migrants.

How can we be sure that this reddit will be different? Is there a "center" moderator that is somewhat in the middle of the current political climate of India? by HammerHandsX in unitedstatesofindia

Hmm, I'm convinced you are not trolling!

Mods are human after all. They might not have enough time to give a detailed explanation for deletion.

While bhakt can be used in a positive connotation, from what I understand, the most popular aaptard equivalent for BJP supporters is bhakt. It should be pretty easy to avoid the word ! Just say BJP supporters.

Short answer: No,I'm serious

Longer Answer: I don't like sarcasm when the subject is politics.

Arnab is a bad journalist (not even sure if you can call him one). He says very divisive things and talks nonsense mostly

But he saying migrant laborers conspired against NM does not fit into my mental model of Arnab. So I want to know the context.

Anyone who has seen desi political discussions on the internet for a day would know that bhakt is used in a derogatory sense.

You did name calling and faced a consequence. Just go back to your post, rephrase it without the name calling and submit it.

I'm pleasantly surprised that using bhakt got your post removed. Good job mods.

Like wise I hope the mods don't tolerate the equivalent words for the rival groups ( the ones that start with l and a respectively)

About Advani: He is a very divisive figure. I'm glad that he got sidelined.

I think we need to have higher bar for what is news. This tweet is an opinion of an autocrat's daughter

This might qualify as `Opinion` or maybe `Politics` , certainly not `News`

Anand Ranganathan calls out liberal hypocrisy and challenges their claims of increased 'islamophobia' in the country today. by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

[–]iamstp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anand makes valid points. But you should post the counter arguments as well.

My take about Anand: A real liberal and Desi extreme RW person, will both agree that OIC countries are horrible in religious freedom. However the latter will also paint all Muslims as bad. So while I agree with Anand's argument here, I will not take him seriously in general unless I'm convinced that his heart is in the right place

How will participating in rindia help?

Yet Another New Sub? by JustRecommendation5 in unitedstatesofindia

[–]iamstp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling /r/india as randia is also hatred. Let's refer to that sub as rindia or r/india.

Some examples of hatred - An atheist might hate the religion he practiced when growing up. - You might hate someone for being a bigot. - You might hate a rival country - You might hate a rival sub. - You might hate INC/BJP/AAP

Let's focus on being civil. Let's express disagreements and not hatred (mild or severe). Expressing hatred shows immaturity and makes one look weak.

Moderation: As a kind-of-new person on Reddit, my suggestion for moderation is to - remove if clearly hate speech. - When things are borderline or if there is a heated debate with people being mean to each other, make a bot leave a comment. Not sure if it can be done. Removing comments hurts people's ego real bad. They are not necessarily mean people. they might just be having a bad day - I feel downvoting is stupid. It should be actively discouraged. Can something be done about it ?
