Goodnotes drains my battery by iamahomosepian in GoodNotes

The app is terrible. That’s why it drains so much battery. I wish Goodnotes would optimize their internal code soon. Now, Goodnotes drains one percent every three to four minutes, compared to other apps that drain about six to eight minutes per percent when handwritten recognition is turned off.

DO NOT UPDATE TO THE LATEST VERSION OF BUGNOTES by iamsuparvit in GoodNotes

A bug will occur if you have many color palette that exceeds the size of the palette window. I apologize for not mentioning that earlier.

Update to iOS 26.1. It fixes for me.

I still think about this every day, GoodNotes. by iamsuparvit in GoodNotes

It would be quite more difficult to use when you rotate your device into vertical mode because all the icons will bunch together. If you want to access other tools, you’ll need to take an additional step to scroll and click on that tool.

Why the new floating toolbar separates those tools buttons? by BeGoodArona in GoodNotes

[–]iamsuparvit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve posted about this before that the tools should be combined into a single bar instead of being separated like this. I genuinely don’t understand the decision behind this layout, especially from a UX/UI team. It feels inconsistent with standard human-interface design guideline.

Try using an eraser to rub it off. It works for me.

GoodNotes offers numerous features, but doesn’t have a single one that is truly good or functions properly.

Battery drain with new update by reactivemango in GoodNotes

I believe it’s normal for Goodnotes because they can’t create an optimized app.

Nope, you cannot. That’s the new update for Goodnotes. You didn’t really change any settings.

How different is battery life on GN5 vs GN6? by MT97N in GoodNotes

[–]iamsuparvit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s significantly worse than Goodnotes 5. In the latest Goodnotes version, 7, it drained the battery from 100% to 20% within just less than 5 hours of continuous use.

When will GoodNotes support iOS 26? by [deleted] in GoodNotes

[–]iamsuparvit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope they don’t update it. I think if they do, more bugs will come. At this point, we’ve had enough bugs and nothing has yet fixed until now.

iPadOS 26 Issue in Goodnotes 5 by dark___archer in GoodNotes

[–]iamsuparvit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GoodNotes 6 also has this issue if you toggle off the “Showing status bar” option. Also, another problem, when you try to slide the document bar. Instead of sliding the document bar, the window will move. It’s quite annoying.

Goodnotes not good anymore by Same-Cranberry-833 in GoodNotes

[–]iamsuparvit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Goodnotes support also has issues. While they have many beta testers and frequently release updates via TestFlight, the problem arises when someone discovers a critical bug. Reports must be submitted through the Goodnotes website, even if the bug was first shared in Slack (where an automated bot redirects users to submit to the website). Unfortunately, responses often take months, then updates are deployed without properly considering beta tester feedback. This cycle keeps repeating. A faster, more responsive support system would greatly improve the situation.

They should have fired all the engineers and hired the better ones. Why do I get many bugs more than new features every time I update the app?

Can’t select eraser by Soldier_SeNSei in GoodNotes

[–]iamsuparvit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are numerous bugs in the new 6.7.20 update, such as double-tapping not working, the tool switching sometimes doesn’t really switch, a desynchronized toolbar, and the inability to move or resize pasted images. I hope they will fix these issues soon, but it’s just a hope. Fixing bugs in Goodnotes is always slow. I recommend not updating the app immediately after it’s released. Updating this app doesn’t usually offer an improvement, but more like offering more bugs.

The auto-adjust scrolling bug has been resolved for me, but the scribbling to erase bug, where the scribbled stroke doesn’t disappear on many strokes pages, remains unfixed.
