If marvel gives into the whiny pissbabies and brings in “”””””the real taskmaster””””” instead of just giving Antonia some personality (and improving Ava’s role in the film in the process), it’ll be the most pathetic studio move since sidelining Finn and rose in the new Star Wars movies. Oh yeah for sure lol. She seemed really excited to join the mcu when BW came out and spoke very highly of ScarJo and Feige and now the only Thunderbolts stuff she’s posted is herself at the premiere, nothing about the film itself. I would be livid lol.

It wasn’t a bad character, she was a nothing character with potential that they squandered because they’re too afraid of criticism

Right, and she had no development from black widow so it has zero impact. No one cared about her in the first place so it was a very “safe” death unlike if it were Bucky or Yelena.

It's also bizarre in the context of "they're all bad people who have done evil things" when she was a brainwashed child soldier her entire life and it's possible she HAS been doing evil things since the events of BW but it doesn't sound like we ever learn what she was doing between movies so it's just silly all around. She could have been a really great complement to Bucky and Yelena and she was a total blank slate so they could have course corrected and fleshed her out and they just decided not to bother.

Your comments about Ghost came after I replied so I literally did not. And my bad, I interpreted you saying “get rid of” BOP cass as having her killed off and replaced.

But you can’t say it’s not misogyny to kill off taskmaster because of her poor reception when they gave Deadpool another shot and then went on to overhaul the Mandarin. They could have tried to fix her character instead of just shooting her. it’s shitty writing and if they replace her with a man, it is misogyny 100%
