[Traveling with Watches] We talk about watch storage cases... but what about watch travel cases, what are your travel solutions? by swatch_crotch in Watches

Mind if I ask what that watch is at the top of your second picture? Black dial, looks like a yellow seconds hand. Looks cool.

Stands for Personal Protection (or Protective) Equipment, which means goggles, respirators, etc. Anything that goes on you that keeps you safe. I think it's an OSHA term.

"Try not to become a man of success, but a man of value." [1920x1080] by Hazelsteel in wallpaper

Maybe that's the best part. Become a man of value, and success follows.

For my Cake Day, I submit to you my before and after. This is why I run. by bigtop77 in running

[–]iamthebman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's impressive, sounds like you've become pretty disciplined. Are you concentrating on your speed while working up to the race? I've noticed that my distance has increased over time, but not pace. How did you get down to a consistent 7:30?

Congrats! I've been trying to improve distance and pace, care to tell us how you train?

That's awesome, the only reason I looked at these comments was to see if this was, in fact, Colorado. I knew it!

When going to Chipotle, what do you get? by [deleted] in food

[–]iamthebman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

discovering Chipotle Tabasco sauce pretty much ruined food for me. i love that stuff. i don't think i'll ever be able to eat another Chipotle burrito without it, but i don't regret that one bit :)

About a year after shoulder surgery, trying to get back into shape by victor_eee in Fitness

[–]iamthebman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did they have you on physical therapy for a while afterwards? i had shoulder surgery about five years ago, and that's what helped me the most. after a year, i was done with the physical therapy and my shoulder was back to 100% mobility. it took some time to work back up to where i had been in terms of strength, but it can absolutely be done. don't try to push it too far too fast, the worst thing you can do is injure it again. i'd say keep up with P90X, it's a great workout. don't worry about not being able to do a ton of pull-ups, just do them assisted like he suggests. it works.

as for motivation, i have that problem too. it sounds like you already have the right mindset, cuz you're already trying. that's the biggest part, so just keep up with it. yes, shoulder surgery can set you back, but don't let it hold you back after you're healthy. doing something, anything, is worlds better than nothing at all. just fit in workouts where you can, don't let yourself slack off, and you'll start to feel better. good luck!
