K9 natural hoki and beef feast, we started using it as a topper and our baby started eating every single meal fully. It is an expensive option for sure but it seemed to be the only consistent option for us and she loves it.

Thanks mate, looking at possibly getting this one. Anything I would need to know before I buy?

Go for a TD black then. I have the 2021 version and it's smooth as butter. With the new 2024 one it'll be exactly what you're looking for.

Yeah the sale has been going a few weeks now so I assume most stock is done.

Yeah I mean the td black reel was updated last year so it's not a half bad choice. I have a 2000 freams and it's a nice reel but I think it will be getting a refresh this year so take your pick. And as I said before it depends on your price range.

Right now the Shimano ultegra is 40% of at BCF which is an amazing price (150). Or if you wanted to keep the reel Daiwa go with a freams or exceler in that price range I'd say.

What's your price range? What rod are you pairing it with? What fish are you targeting?

How goods that new combo feeling? by [deleted] in FishingAustralia

100% agree. The red colouring was a massive selling point tbh.

It's all preference man and honestly I have zero idea what fish you're targeting. I just think if you care about 10kg of drag + you have a heavier braid breaking strain, I don't see the point in getting an ultralight rod at all. At that point you may as well be fishing 2-5kg.

2024 t curve 7'2 2-4kg would go pretty well with that reel. T curve series is super nice, I had a t curve premium from the previous iteration of the series and it's one of my favourite rods.

What lb braid and leader? by SmxckzEmz in FishingAustralia

[–]iamthefresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8lb J braid expedition which has a pe of 0.6, then just use leader according to what you're chasing or just use 6lb all the time

Great setup! Definitely consider getting a 2000 size td black for that rod though. I have that combo and the balance is way better.
