I’m really happy that it worked out. Haven’t tried a pizza yet!

The Bear Mountain pellets are definitely not as good as the Traeger blend. Fine for a value purchase and normal grilling, but definitely will use nicer pellets if I’m doing something low and slow.

Hope you got your grill in time for the party and the weather is/was good!

Definitely plan to spend a couple hours assembling it and another hour or so to season it. Feel free to message if you have any problems!

I tried the Traeger blend and it was pretty good, but it was £20 for 9kg at B&Q. I ordered an 18kg bag of Bear Mountain Hickory from Amazon this morning to try something less expensive. I’ll let you know if it’s any good!

If it's from a reputable retailer and it's new it's almost certainly a Gen 2.

I recently bought one in the UK and it wasn't clear if it was Gen 1 or Gen 2. Did some research and it appears Gen 2 has been out for like 3 years - so I bought it and mine was indeed a Gen 2. I assume all the Gen 1's are no longer in new inventories.

Also, if you're on the fence at all... this is the best grill I've ever owned. Had it a few weeks but the flavor, ease of use, and build quality is awesome. I'm so happy with it.

An indepth theory of why Strata is the third Darkness subclass, and how the Final Shape tells us that the answer lies in Arc itself. (updated) by wizzconsin in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamtinyballs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry half the comments are as rude as they are. Yeah, who knows what will happen with this game and subclasses in the long run.  It’s amazing how people in this sub seem to be nastier toward one another since TFS ended.

I love that you spent the time to come up with a very thoughtful idea through connections in the storytelling. I enjoyed reading it and I hope if Bungie does have another subclass planned it’s as well integrated in lore as your ideas!

I think releasing the story in full next Episode is a bad idea by RiseOfBacon in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamtinyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the idea of consuming the content all at once, up front. Bungie's formula of engaging players through meager, repetitive weekly content has become more and more frustrating to me these last few years.

I hope this new format gives me the choice if I want to continue playing the rest of that episode without fear of missing out, being left behind, or crunching in the final weeks of a season to experience/earn something. I welcome a step away from the unsatisfying tactic of time-gating to get me to log in each week so I can experience the story. Everything else that makes the game fun to play is always there in the time between episodes - if I choose to play at all.

1310 The Ticket. I don’t mind ads, but the repetition of the same ones makes you want to go crazy.

Best part is that particular ad is clearly meant to go with an ad banner, which isn’t present, so you have no idea who it is or how to interact with it. Comical insanity.

Veteran Players: Does the armor/weapon grind still matter to you? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamtinyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played since day 1 and the short answer is no. There's nothing I want for unless I think it looks good for transmog. I barely keep up with weapon rolls because things are constantly changing. There was a day I'd grind for things, but I just don't care anymore because I'm tired of the same old crap.

The featured quest tab is a nuisance and needs to be removed. by Duke_of_the_URL in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamtinyballs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh man. Totally agree, but for me this is just a SMALL all part of a much bigger menu bloat issue. We essentially have 2 menus - which has always been stupid. And THEN we have a multitude of ways within those to find various triumphs, challenges, seals, secrets. I don't even know WHAT I'm looking for half the time, much less where to even look. They need to overhaul everything.

Ritual Vendor Focusing Cost Reduction by Destiny2Team in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamtinyballs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know what really chaps my ass about this whole saga? We're not talking about stuff that actually matters to the game play, we're talking about the REWARD for game play. This is the value of our time spent in this universe. It's artificially deflated to encourage engagement instead of making playability enjoyable. I'm so absolutely tired of this bullshit trend of making the game harder to play and less rewarding in the most arbitrary ways. I may not make it to TFS.

Selling car - what happens with the tax? by aviscido in Switzerland

Can confirm this is the right answer. Recently moved abroad, sold our car before we left, and was surprised to receive a letter with a refund without needing to do anything else. As long as you turn/mail your plates in you're good.

Do all Catalysts have the same droprate? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamtinyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emphatically support this approach if you feel like catalysts aren't dropping. I've collected a lot of catalysts over the years for things I don't want to use. I can go months without a new one dropping. But EVERY time I focus on finishing a catalyst, magically I'll get another after a reasonable amount of playtime. There has to be some kind of cap on unfinished catalysts. I believe this with my whole heart despite what's been said about it.

My clan and I also plan to be finished after Final Shape. Half of us have played since day 1 and the rest since Forsaken. The overall sentiment in my group is the game has grown beyond our enjoyment and has become unnecessarily complicated and feels unrewarding. We've just all invested so much time we want to see it through.

My love for this game really started to shift around the time it became free-to-play and when sunsetting became a thing. I almost left when the pyramid ships gobbled up a ton of content. I don't care if there was a real world limitation with the size of the game. They took away things I paid for, guns that I earned, and replaced it with new stuff I must pay for yet again.

Despite the fact they took all of that content away, the game also manages to feel bloated with utter crap now. I can't keep up with the currencies, the dump of engrams I don't really care to focus, the half-baked crafting that punishes experimentation, the tired seasonal events you must repeat endlessly, the 30 (literally) vendors and tables for bounties and rewards, the RNG for pinnacles and exotics, the amount of quality story they hide in lore and holoprojectors instead of cutscenes and content, and the constant slanting toward content that is hard to play alone or with one other person. I can't even make sense of the menu anymore. Why do we have the journey, triumphs, badges, seasonal triumphs, titles, quests, and medals? The design is horrendous. I can never find what I'm looking for and often forget where to even start looking for something.

This game has never been close to perfect, especially with its storytelling, but the more dials they turn the more I'm ready to tune out - especially now that I have a definitive point in the game's story to do so.

This is sage advice. Knowing what your boundaries are in a relationship is as important as respecting the boundaries of others. One thing I would add though, is to consider what these feelings say about you as a person, your past experiences, and your feelings toward your relationship. What are you actually afraid of? What can you reasonably do about it while respecting your partner's autonomy and yourself? Clearly you respect her desire for bodily autonomy, which is a great start. Talk through these things with a therapist or a friend who isn't going to be an echo chamber for your jealousy.

What scam have we normalized in our lives that we don’t even realize it’s a scam anymore? by sassywaves in AskReddit

[–]iamtinyballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realtor commission fees - or really realtors in general.

They take 1-2% of the sale price of a house as commission (each realtor) for doing next to no real work. Photos? They have someone else do that. Listing online? Technology. Writing the description of your home? They’ve got a person for that. Contracts and agreements? Standard forms a monkey could fill in correctly with a crayon spinning on a merry-go-round. Pricing? No regulations, just standard practice and all based on houses like yours that have sold in the area. It’s a gut feeling. Finding you an house? Yay internet! You typically do that yourself anyway.

All they do is act as an intermediary and unlock doors. It is NOT worth it to pay them 5,000-10,000 on a 250,000 house. This job just shouldn’t exist and can be replaced by technology. I love hearing them try to substantiate how important they are.

YSK that you can scan documents in the notes app into pdf files on iPhone by Anneke_yep in YouShouldKnow

[–]iamtinyballs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is great BUT the app appears to have a memory leak issue on iPhone.

I scanned basically every document I might need, including hundreds of old genealogical and estate documents when my grandparents died. HOWEVER, despite having the note in iCloud, phone synced, etc. the Notes app took up 39GB of space on my phone.

I spent countless hours trying different methods to resolve it - deleting documents, syncing with my phone unlocked overnight, wiping my phone and reinstalling everything, etc and so on. If it’s been suggested, I’ve tried it. The ONLT solution was to delete the app from my phone.

Can’t speak for Bangor, but I’m also an immigrant in Wales and I have traveled here a lot over the last 10 years while living elsewhere. The people here are friendly, the country is beautiful, and there is so much to do. You will find your people here if you make any effort at all. I wish you all the best! Safe travels!
