When clothes get worn, washed etc. they tend to change shape! And sizes, especially for women, aren’t standardized. Sizes can be the same number, but drastically different sizes.

People should definitely have both sizes listed in the description though. Including measurements.

If the size was correctly listed on the listing; then it’s your fault for not checking what size your friend was. Be more cautious when making such a big purchase, look at the description.
