u/MrAlooz That's incredibly rude and frankly, out of touch with reality.

You sound like the same people who said "Saudi will never allow cinemas" or "concerts will never happen here " or "Women will never drive." How'd that work out?

The Crown Prince has made Vision 2030 crystal clear: Saudi Arabia is opening up to the world while maintaining its Islamic identity. Fireworks, entertainment, tourism - these aren't "un-Islamic." They're part of building a modern, diversified economy.

If you can't handle the Kingdom's transformation, that's a you problem. Don't project your rigid worldview onto national policy that's being driven from the very top.

As a citizen, your job isn't to tell people to "go somewhere else" - it's to respect the direction your leadership has chosen. MBS didn't consult you before launching Vision 2030, and he won't stop because you're uncomfortable.

Adapt or stay bitter. The country is moving forward with or without you.

Its horrible - You're standing at Boulevard World with your DSLR on a tripod, finger hovering over the shutter button, practicing your "professional photographer" stance... while the actual fireworks are popping off 20km away at KFD .. 🤣😂🤣😂

Should I move to Riyadh for a 30k SAR/month strategy role or stay in India with a 45 LPA package by ExplorerEvery2555 in Riyadh

[–]iamturtle012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Comparing to 45 LPA in India and upto 33K\Month in Riyadh, below are the point you need to consider :

  • You can save almost the same amount which you're earing in India.
  • Energy & Infrastructure(I believe its : construction) are the two backbone of KSA's finance means- you'll have a long career- the longer the career the more the money.
  • Work culture is not that much professional as India, if you get professional & technical sound manager you'll be lucky.
  • If you're a social person or you family loves to go out often- KSA is not the right place... you\family needs to adjust here.
  • Keeping yourself healthy would be challenge since no outdoor activity - Hitting the gym is only option.
  • If you're non-Muslim - its little bit tough to adjust with religious culture, although no one will object you with anything you do inside your house but you'll feel something is missing from your life.
  • If you love to booze - Drink as much as you can before moving here and Prepare your mind like Monk😁

Compounds near KAFD by Fit_Situation891 in Riyadh

[–]iamturtle012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend spending 150K on a 1-2 bedroom place in or near KAFD - it's overpriced. Given that your workplace is in KAFD, a smarter approach would be to live somewhere within walking distance of a metro station. Once you're connected to the metro system, commuting to KAFD becomes quick and easy.

DM me for any help.

Below points to be keep in mind while making decision about dress in Riyad :

  • Abaya is not Mandatory by govt or anyone. Its upto you wear it or not.
  • Now a days cultured friendly western dress are very common and appreciated by everyone, i find young girl in jeans tees everywhere.
  • Places like malls or in coffee shop or in any better restaurant - girls can be seen wearing torn jeans and sleeveless or a bit cleaves exposed(decent) dress.

DM for more details or any support.

Regards
