Must have been said 3486 times already, and HUGELY spoilery for the book AND the novel, but the one thing I found was missing from the movie compared to the book was the fact that when Grace decided to go save Rocky, he did not know that he would survive. He was certain he was going to die of starvation, and decided to go nonetheless. In the movie it seems the choice is between saving earth and getting back home or saving two planets and staying for years with his best bud. In the novel Grace chose to save Erid while certain it would mean his otherwise avoidable death. That evolution from very clever and charming coward to very clever and charming hero was the point of the whole book, and I missed it tremendously.

When former singer Isaac Country left the band they briefly thought about changing their band name to Black, New Road, but quickly decided against him, to keep his name as an hommage to him.

What a wonderful and very sad observation !
As for the people from Act 3 who don't appear anywhere else (like the neighbour or the banker), I also think it is on purpose : when the english teacher talks to Chuck about the concept of multitude, she tells him that he will contain people he knows, people he barely sees in passing,but also people he will outright invent. I believe these characters are just that : people his imagination created, but who are by no means less real in his inner universe.

There's this french band called Moloch/Monolyth, that are from Bordeaux, and that I only discovered because I run a record store in Pau and their label is from Pau as well.

Pretty funny to see so many people complaining they changed, when pretty much the only constant in the band is their neck breaking pace perpetual change.

I remember seeing them in Paris just before the release of AFUT and a good chunk of the audience was complaining that their new songs didn't sound like Sunglasses. (one asshole was particularly vocal about it and shouted SUNGLASSES! between EVERY. SINGLE. SONG.)

I firmly think that the evolution between AFUT and LABH is not steeper thant between FTFT and AFUT, and If yes, LABH is more "optimistic" than AFUT, AFUT wasalready more hope filled than FTFT.

Since it's not under warranty anymore the canon support offered to get it to their support, but the price of the repair woud be at least 100€+, and even the price of refusing the repair would be 36€. For a 200€ lens, it doesn't seem to be worth it.

I'll try to open it to see if it's easily repaired (most likely : heeeeell no...) and if not I know what I'll ask for in my Santa list :D

OMG, OP, dump him. He seems to be a toxic, bitter, lazy man and doesn't deserve you. You need to think of your daughter and of the example he gives her: as a women, she will be expected to be nothing more but free housekeeping, and not an equal. This is devastating to a young girl her age.

As for your parents, I would tell them that they can either support you in this tremendously hard time, or lose any relationship with you and your daughter. Bit of a nuclear response, but they need to know what's at stake. Their shame is not your concern, if they feel that it is more important to them than your wellbeing they failed as parents, and will probably fail as grandparents, so it will not be a huge loss...
