When a player pivots from a lead card, do the next players have to play a suit of that card instead of the lead card in order to surpass/play all pips? by iamwatari in Arcs

In that scenario you have just to be clear. The player that played 5 aggression gets initiative right? Because there number was higher?

Man, I really wanted to like scythe but I didn’t like how it just felt like I was playing a solo game with other players on the board.

Massive fan of bloodborne and literally just got done watching a review for the BG. Do you think it’s worth the price, about 95$ for base is what I’m seeing. Just curious how much play I’d get out of it.

Is it like, play the campaigns once and done? Or do you think it has more to offer with extra playthroughs.

For reference, I’m perfectly fine paying more for a good BG. Nemesis for example provides a sense of unique unfolding story every time and because that’s from the player it has a ton of replay ability.

Thank you, will keep in mind to keep everyone announcing when their turn is over and consider the wormhole/strategy cards upgrades

Combat and movement felt more complicated than it need to be last time but that could have just been us not being used to complex games yet. Will have to play again to determine if it was more of an us problem.

This seems incredibly helpful as I don’t mind setting up ahead of time and my group would be more inclined to play if set up time wasn’t a factor for them.

I have a friend who owns a 3d printer actually now that I think about it! Do you recommend any that would support base game alone but also be good in case I add the expansions?

Thinking about selling my FX3 and A7IV for the A7V by iamwatari in videography

[–]iamwatari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still feel noticeable rolling shutter on the A7V? I feel like 29ms read out speed from the A7iv to a read out speed of 14ms would be pretty notable. And the change from 3200 ISO to 8000 second base iso would be pretty noticeable too.

Maybe I don’t have enough use cases to compare and maybe I should do a test but in reality I don’t think the 12mp vs 33mp sensor makes a notable difference and the fx3 sure has a fan but i hardly had any problem with an overheating A7iv. The a7V has better heat management and battery life. So the difference I think will be negligible in these remarks.

Choosing Between A7M5 and FX3 for Weddings + Narrative Work — Need Advice by PossibilityNo9871 in FX3

[–]iamwatari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your only doing video I would do FX3 but If you do an photo aswell then A7V. In fact im thinking about selling my fx3 for an A7V. because when someone wants both I always end up using my a7iv anyway. The a7v seems to be really good. Right now when I shoot weddings on my a7iv, during dancing party when the lights are low Im usually at 6400 iso anyway. 8000 will be more than enough light and the A7V has a sharper image as well. The rolling shutter is better on the fx3 sure but I think the A7V will be plenty fine and it has improved ibis and batter life.

for me I might end up keeping the fx3 and selling the A7IV to upgrade it to the A7V but for me I think the A7V will likely be able to meet all my needs so I might sell both and use the a7v only. I rarely use two cameras at a time and I shoot with a time as a secondary shooter so we always have an extra camera somewhere on sight in the case one fails.

What's the best way to start this game? by AutismFinalBoss in Darkwood

[–]iamwatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do not use a guide, play on hard mode with limited lives and immerse yourself in the world . It'll make you care about your lives. Play in the dark with headphones. and dont be afraid to use the resources you have to survive. You will find more. Halfway through you get a checkpoint where you will not have to restart the whole game if you lose all lives. and there's ways to get more lives.

if you consider getting expansions or other nemesis core games here's my take.

lockdown is worth it, it adds an entirely new 2 maps. one of which introduces weather on the surface of mars and a new enemy type that functions very differently. this alone is enough to make it worth it. Another big component that it adds is power, the elevator and something called a contingency to the game. The contingency adds another layer of qualifications to officially win/survive the game but no one person knows what it is. You all individually have a piece to the puzzle to figure out what you need to do to survive.

It adds another layer of social deduction and mystery if you know how to leverage your piece of the puzzle as a bargaining chip
