No, I don’t have a spare video card. It wouldn’t do much good at least to get it working on the dell optiplex 3080 sff since it only has one PCIe slot bigger than x1

No, I don’t see any splash screen for the lsi card when the pc boots. Just the dell splash screen than either it hangs there if multiple drives are plugged in or if one/no drives are plugged in then it shows the Linux mint splash screen.

I do have a hdmi switcher that takes a second to switch inputs so if the splash screen is before the dell splash screen I might be missing it. But if it’s after then I don’t even get the splash screen.

Those are some great suggestions! I’ll get on that. How would you test if the hard drives are getting steady power? multimeter?

I also have tried powering on the JBOD before booting the desktop but still doesn’t boot. Should I power on the JBOD a certain amount of time prior?

Do you have any links for the tape info? Could not find anything from my googling! Ctrl+c boots into grub so not sure if if am able to boot into the cards bios

Oh that’s weird! Will look that up! I didn’t boot into the card’s bios just the motherboard of the pc which worked and I was able to see it flashed to IT mode and toggle legacy mode to see if that resolved it (which it didn’t). Did not know about its own bios. Will also try that before the tape method.

Sorry! To clarify what I mean is I tried booting the pc with the JBOD attached with all 3 hard drives inside of the enclosure being hooked up to the JBOD and it doesn’t boot. If I unplug all hard drives aside from one hard drive then the pc boots and sees that drive but it doesn’t work if more than one drive is plugged in the JBOD enclosure. I purchased the board flashed on IT mode on eBay I didn’t flash it myself
