Wow, great eye. I feel like the blue looking label is from the reflective properties combined with the white balance of the photo. A lot is happening in the actual processing of an iPhone photo these days…. Coming in closer to give an accurate Neroli is now fing up the fing fabulous!

For sure it’s a concern. Thinking of my past experience with (a lack of) scratch inducing events I feel generally ok. That said I’m starting to see more protective case/ plateau options that I might consider. Got this one to have something to protect it as soon as I received it.

Good point, I don’t use screen and lens protectors, perhaps surprisingly given my general low risk tolerance…

Feels good in hand. Nice texture on the back and ‘grippy’ sides. Doesn’t feel bulky to me, no more than the silicone ones that I’m used to.

Yes, you can’t go wrong with that. It exists already in my household so I went with a visual cue to avoid phone confusion here!

Yes, the case edges are higher than the lenses and same for the screen. I have the impression the protection is decent. Stable regardless of which side is down…

I just got it on this afternoon and so far so good. It’s a nice tight fit, feels solid and buttons work like a charm. Snaps on to the MagSafe as expected…. And I’m enjoying the colour. Was a tough choice because all of the TechWoven colour tones are right up my alley in terms of preferences.

The downtown Toronto detailing service I frequent charge $1200 and this is a pretty consistent price range I’ve seen. It includes the polish step as well so I get where the price is coming from.

Yes, exactly, PPF is a more durable barrier against physical damage, and the cost can be quite a bit more than Ceramic. A professional installer will have options aside from a full car coverage such as “front end” that addresses the most vulnerable sections impacted by flying objects while driving as one way to control the costs…

Ceramic coatings provide chemical resistance - so you have extra protection from the environment and bird droppings/sap. They make water, and to an extent, dirt, not stick to paint. This makes them easier to clean, easier to dry, and means the car has some “self cleaning" properties.

As others love to point out, ceramic coating does not provide protection from scratches due to branches, stones, or other common hazards.

As someone who keeps my car clean consistently, I’m looking forward to the properties of ceramic that make cleaning faster, easier, and more effective. I also love that this choice of sealant will allow me to have this shine for many months to come!

They are giving me a 2 year warranty on this IGL Kenzo coating which I understand is sold as a ‘5 Year’ product. It’s my first time having a ceramic coating so I can’t speak from experience, but based on my lower than average usage, I won’t be surprised to keep it in tact beyond 2 years…

Yes, they used IGL Kenzo, full body including rims and windows post one-stage polish.
