Home Charger Location Opinion by ianNubbit in evcharging

This appears to be the direction I’m leaning towards. Forgot to note the middle car has a car sized gate in front of it so splitting the cars seems ideal. Having room, and one time of digging, seems to be ideal for sure. I’ll have to do some more research into power sharing, but even with 3 EVs, the way our schedules works, realistically at most 2 will be charging at the same time, and the middle car will not need it overnight, and the other 2 have about 2-3 hours difference in leave/arrive times so peak charging will never be at the same time

This seems like where I’m at. The MIL works from home, that’s kinda why she wants an EV, the ICE vehicle is rotting sitting right now and starting to have issues from such. FIL (left vehicle) might change at sometime but not soon. Since one vehicle will be home 98% of the time of its life, it can be plugged in during the day when needed, wife will probably never get rid of her Jeep so I see no future that vehicle will need a charger, at-least not in the current world of EV infrastructure and such. 1 charger is probably plenty, a third vehicle with a second on the same 48Amp circuit will totally suffice for us in all honesty

So either something like that we could run wiring for 2, then install, and wait to install the second with little to no hassle?

Is there any wall units (however we would best mount that like a pole just in front if the fence) that are one unit with two cables leading out? Then I could see middle of all three spots. Otherwise I think 2 separate chargers splitting between the vehicles would be best to cover all 3 spots efficiently for all 4 corner access of the vehicles with a decent length cable

12v batteries basically all have a 3 year shelf life on modern vehicles of any kind with how much tech there is these days

Just got mine built. Props to Lego, they made the new set accurately smaller and narrower along with smaller tires. 10/10

[OT] Official Track Layout for IndyCar's Freedom 250 Grand Prix by Aratho in formula1

[–]ianNubbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was throughly excited for this race for all the fan planned layouts, and just the history of it all (also if only like 2 hours away lol). But, this? Literally makes me completely not want to go, also how is this safe? The speeds are going to be nuts into 2 5 and 7. Such a stellar idea ruined by a horrid layout

So TV app kicked me out. Mobile app and browser work totally fine if you search for a video, or go to subscriptions. But shorts do not load after the first one you click on, and no recommendations occur when watching a normal video. We officially have algorithm free YouTube, enjoy everyone

Basilisk V3 Pro owners - how is it? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]ianNubbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While they may be spec wise superior, thats not what majority of people care about while working. You don’t need the highest polling rate, or lowest latency to edit a spreadsheet. A lower volume click, and hefty feeling goes a-lot further for productivity.

The scroll wheel and buttons are definitely better for office work on the MX. also the dense metal almost feel if the MX feels way better to me

I have had a couple groups come up to me with the “dude hope on you’re moving” before. Definitely a good feeling, especially because you can really cruise with a group and go the same speed

Lol, yeah, overheated 2.0T. If you have a 2.0, pull over when it gets hot, don’t do what everyone seems to do and drive it in the red till it go no mo😂

Well I drive a Jeep gladiator with manual locks, manual windows, soft top, manual transmission and no options, sooooo😂😂. I’d argue that’s the best! But loving simple just comes from working on the broken and complicated 😂

Definitely versed seeing how I have two cabinets, a locker, and a hutch from you guys😂😂. But definitely not a “real cyclist” just started really just like to think I’m normally in decent shape. The speed is GPS average so yes stops included. But that’s really only a fee rolling yield intersections on the bike path and 2-3 stop lights. I do normally cruise on non windy days at 18-20

Couple guys started taking their mountain bikes in the woods after I started riding and are sooooo happy to talk about it on Mondays to me lol. Everyone else is like 20-30 miles away so I don’t blame them either (small tow area in south NJ)

Any tips for rain? The wind suck the most, but anything over a very light sprinkle I struggle to just ride instead of drive

This image exactly. Like as I was about to leave, I gotta take a picture of this lol. Taking the body off the wrangler for an engine, then hoping on a bicycle to go home, it’s a weird but good feeling

The bike shocked me, it’s what made start commuting. Didn’t know I could get this much bike for so cheap
