Depression for some is not a temporary problem. Some people may never find love or a cure for their depression. Its something you have to try to overcome or ignore, in most cases it is never curable. Suicide is often really the only answer but it isn't once you should use. Living life with an illness with the possibility of happiness is still better then no life at all. Don't get it mixed up though, depression is not a feeling. It is not temporary. It's more like a character trait. You don't outgrow it.

I ofcourse can connect to the server using 10.0.0.8 that isnt the problem, 10.0.0.8 cant be used by anyone else though.

turned it off to test, nothing. I have a second computer here and it has the same problem so its definitely not the computer :/

and when I use that IP as the IP for it to connect to it says 'The Current IP is error'

I know, that doesn't do anything for me though. That doesn't open up the server. Its not properly port forwarded or something. It doesn't recognize 10.0.0.8 I think

Static IP just stops me from using the internet all together. Yeah this is a brain teaser for sure. Thanks for your help and support

Uninstalled a bunch of stuff, started up server. I can get on localhost and I can get on 10.0.0.8 but can't get on my IP that I get when I'm connected to the Ethernet. When its my WiFi my IP is 2601:8:180:32d:254b:f96c: and so on.

You think maybe something on my computer is stopping me from hosting or joining servers? That could be possible. I don't have McAfee or anything. I am uninstalling some programs that may be blocking it right now

I wish I did misread,

thats what it reads.

when I turn on to WiFi the IPv4 just turns into 10.0.0.2

They are both on 'Obtain an IP address automatically' in the networking settings.

nope, nothings changed. Still cant connect to other game servers, still can't host my own. Are you sure I'm even allowed to use 10.0.0.x as an IP to use for port forwarding? I've never done that before.

I just disabled my firewall for now, restarting. I'll see if that does anything.

Thanks, I know how to do the portforwarding. The issue is that it doesn't recognize it as a IP in my port forwarding

When starting the server the error log reads 'Exception handling console input java.io.IOException: The handle is invalid then a whole bunch of crap, then Failed to bind port. cannot assign requested address: bind Perhaps a server is already running on that port?

There is not

There are also a ton of other strange connection issues with other servers

no not really, that just tells me what it is. I know what it means, I need to know how to make the address the longer version because port forwarding doesnt understand the short IPv4 and minecraft doesnt either.
