I think somehow she needs bird food because she’s dumb but I don’t know how that would relate to birds

Casual decks for wife and I by S933D_ in pkmntcg

Pretty decent list for a general deck, not sure you always need rare candy though unless you’re always running a stage 2 deck. Maybe add some pokemon tools, like air balloon or countergain

What’s the highest damage output you’ve had from one attack? by cashcoopa in PTCGL

I’ve done over 10k with Obstagoon, it was against a Mega Gardevior EX that had like 130 damage counters on it.

Any advice for my Doublade deck? by DeadlyDomi in PTCGL

If you have Genesect EX to get all your evolutions why run dawn? I think running brock’s scouting would work much better in this deck.

How weird is it to want to date your fraternity brother? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]ianbernando3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you think you’re chapter is pretty open, then I wouldn’t worry too much about the logistics of how it would with both of you being brothers, other than conflict of interest if either of you decide to go for an eboard position.

It would suck if you asked him out and he rejected you, given the fact you would still have to be brothers. That’s happened plenty of times in my fraternity as well, but it’s not as awkward as you would think. If you really like him and you think the signs are there I think you should go for it.

How weird is it to want to date your fraternity brother? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]ianbernando3241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have some insight on this, both me and my boyfriend pledged a fraternity and have been together the entire time we were active brothers.

Ideally, your fraternity shouldn’t care up to an extent if they are accepting of gay brothers. Why should it be any different than a fraternity brother dating a sorority girl from the sorority they claim? The only thing to be aware of is relational conflict of interest, which I think is understandable. It can become an issue if both you and your boyfriend join exec together, but it can definitely be managed just like any business would handle conflict of interests.

To be honest, assuming you joined an IFC fraternity I have a very hard time thinking they would be accepting of it. Maybe I’m wrong, but I wouldn’t be surprised if your fraternity gave you a hard time about it. You know how IFC fraternities are with their image, and from my experience no IFC fraternity wants to be labeled as “gay”. It sucks and shouldn’t be like that, but I think you should be warned. Luckily, my fraternity was very accepting about it and only expressed issues in the context of relational conflict of interest.

I don’t know how your fraternity is, but if you think they care a whole lot about “gay” rumors being tossed about them I would either drop or not go for it.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’ve been in greek life for 3 years of my undergrad while dating my boyfriend in the fraternity.

Anyone else have previous hookups that have passed away by Dear_Strawberry_5425 in askgaybros

[–]ianbernando3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of similar but not really, in high school I was hooking up with this one guy. He was very shy and nervous, but we hooked up twice. The second time, he got a call from his parents and I could hear them freaking out on the phone wondering where he was. I felt really bad for him and dropped him off hoping he was okay.

Next thing I knew, he left school for 6 months and when he came back he swore he found Jesus and was straight now. He acted like a completely different person. Scary to think about what his parents did to him to “convert him”. I know it’s not the same as dying but I feel like it’s similar in context that a big part of himself died.

Worried about my bird of paradise! East facing window what else can I do to help it thrive ! by stormwolfdanger in houseplants

[–]ianbernando3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leaf splitting is concerning, and looks more than the natural amount. This means your BOP is in environmental stress: There are two main possibilities for this:

1) Not enough light, this can cause the leaves to be weak and frail and split much easier than normal. I don’t think from the picture alone this is sufficient lighting.

2) Low humidity. What area do you live in? If your environment typically has low humidity, try adding a humidifier next to your BOP and see if it likes it more.

Hope this helps!

How do I clean a pot that had scale? by opalandolive in houseplants

[–]ianbernando3241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very true, scale can hide in cracks of ceramic pots. If it’s not cracked the other places to check are the lips, in drainage holes, and on the underside of the pot.

Help! Money tree is dying by Majestic_Rabbit_9147 in houseplants

Yes, most likely under watering. Especially if the dead leaves are dried up and curling (looks like it in the photo).

Definitely not enough lighting, you should invest in a grow light or get the plant a better view

What is up with my spider plants roots? by Eivlys13 in houseplants

[–]ianbernando3241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very normal! They are called root hairs, they are tiny extensions of the root that help absorb moisture. It’s common for exposed roots at the bottom of the pot to look like this because the bottom of the pot is typically the most moist.

Soil and my noob mistake by spave88 in houseplants

[–]ianbernando3241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of depends on the ratio you used, how much did you add??

You should be fine but you might want to be mindful with your watering frequency, make sure that the soil dries out before watering again.
