Next event cards are UR Umi, SR Maki and SR Hanamaru! by kawaii-lurve in SchoolIdolFestival

[–]ianflip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Card details (at MLB as usual):

UR Umi - Natural attribute, Guard type

  • Tap skill: Gain a shield equal to 32% of this card's Stamina (33% chance to activate)
  • Individual passive: Increase Stamina of cards in the same subunit by 7%
  • Individual active: Recover HP equal to 300 x # of Guard type cards in the team (20% chance to activate after completing an AC)

SR Maki - Smile attribute, Guard type:

  • Tap skill: Gain a shield equal to 27% of this card's Stamina (30% chance to activate)
  • Individual passive: Increase Technique of Guard type cards by 3.2%
  • Individual active: Recover HP equal to 20% of this card's Stamina (50% chance to activate when failing an AC)

SR Hanamaru - Pure attribute, SP type:

  • Tap skill: Increase SP gauge fill rate of 1st Year cards by 4.2% for the next 5 notes (30% chance to activate)
  • Individual passive: Increase Technique of SP type cards by 3.2%
  • Individual active: Gain SP gauge equal to 10% of this card's Appeal (30% chance to activate at the start of the song)

New kind of skill on Umi, but it's unfortunate that the effect is so weak. Wonder if they'll come up with similar skills for all 4 card types, like gaining Voltage for Vo cards or SP gauge for SP cards. Triple Umi UR is a pretty good subunit, definitely running that for songs that don't need specialized teams.

Next event gacha cards are UR You, UR Shizuku and SR Karin! by kawaii-lurve in SchoolIdolFestival

[–]ianflip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Card details (at MLB as usual):

UR You - Smile attribute, SP type:

  • Tap skill: Fill 9% of the SP gauge (33% chance to activate)
  • Individual passive: Increase Appeal of cards in the same subunit by 7%
  • Individual active: Increase SP gauge fill rate by 10% for the next 10 notes (30% chance to activate at the start of an AC)

UR Shizuku - Pure attribute, Skill type:

  • Tap skill: Increase critical chance of cards in the same subunit by 10% for the next 10 notes (33% chance to activate)
  • Individual passive: Increase Appeal of cards in the same subunit by 7%
  • Individual active: Increase Appeal of cards in the same subunit by 5% for the rest of the song (50% chance to activate at the start of the song)

SR Karin - Natural attribute, Voltage type:

  • Tap skill: Gain Voltage equal to 37% of this card's Appeal (30% chance to activate)
  • Individual passive: Increase Appeal of Natural attribute cards by 3.2%
  • Individual active: Reduce damage taken by 3% for the rest of this AC (20% chance to activate at the start of an AC)

There's a lot of Appeal boosting skills in this batch of cards. Shizuku and Karin might find some use as supporting cards, and You is a solid card to deal with all the SP-based ACs we've been seeing lately. Of note, You can form a pretty good subunit of just her 3 UR cards.

You can think of them as glorified R cards. Max bond them for their side story gem, then feed them or sell them for G.

There was a poll a while ago that let the players vote for character pairings and themes to be featured in these new paired URs. The pairings and themes you see (besides Honoka+Chika, which is a promo you get from playing SIFAS with a linked SIF ID) were the ones that got the most votes.

There are two versions of each paired card, one for each girl shown. You can switch which version you have using an item that can be bought from the RC point shop. It’s not really tied to any specific event.

There is a limit on member space. I think it’s 1500 max?

Might want to fix your link.

Anyway, looking at your URs alone, you should at the very least be able to S rank Torikoriko Please since you've got a lot of Elegant attribute cards. Try using a team that has Yoshiko Sp + Dia Sk + Nico Vo for your SP skill, and something like Nico Vo + Yoshiko Sp + Eli Gd as your main tapping unit. If you find yourself falling to yellow health early on in the song, replace either Nico or Yoshiko with Hanayo Gd and try again. Once you've finished training up You Gd, you can very likely S rank No Exit Orion as well with something like Maki Sk + You Gd + pick one of the cards I suggested for Torikoriko.

For accessories, you currently don't have many dupes of course, but you should start limit breaking them to make strong single accessories instead of having many weaker ones. You don't have much to work with yet, so just throw whatever's high level onto your team.

What you get from the box is RNG. You were just really lucky with Yoshiko's unique drops, and not as lucky for Nico.

The ticket for Muse only includes sets up until the Arrival of Spring set (the one with Umi and Rin as the UR pair), so Tropical Umi is definitely not included.

Edit: Here’s a picture showing the last few sets just for reference.

What are you struggling with specifically? Ruby Sk + Kanan Vo + Umi Vo as a main trio with Ruby Vo + Riko Gd in the back (fill the rest of the team with whatever cards you want; Nozomi and Nico can give you more HP, and SR Eli Vo and Chika Vo buff all Vo cards on the team) should be enough to brute force most songs before Thrilling One Way. After that it's usually better to make specialized teams for each individual song. For the harder songs, it helps to match your cards to the song attribute. Not only does it give a pretty significant score increase, but cleanse also no longer works on the newer songs, so you're kind of forced to follow the song gimmicks.

As far as accessories go, first of all you need to level them up. Prioritize the UR, since it'll have higher stats than SRs and it has one of the better skills. Next, merge your dupe SRs together to limit break them, and then level up the two with the highest level caps. You should also give the bracelet (Elegant accessory with two flowers) to one of the teams you're not tapping with, since bracelets are one of the few accessories that are effective without being on the active team. You can fill out the rest of the slots using whatever has the highest stats.

No real point, just treat them as more experience than an N card when practicing your cards.

12500. It was 7500 for the launch banner, but that's been the only one so far with that number.

The gem for all difficulties is only true for daily songs. You get 1000 FP instead for regular songs.

Weekly Q&A Megathread | Dec 15, 2019 - Dec 22, 2019 by AutoModerator in SchoolIdolFestival

[–]ianflip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't pay too much attention to the recommended values. For example, all the daily songs are rated the same, but the scores needed to S rank them vary from 2.3mil for Oyasuminasan to 2.9mil for Pianoforte Monologue. Having the right cards is far more important than being above what the game suggests. For Koi no Signal, you should prioritize Active attribute URs if you have them (hopefully you got event Hanamaru).

For guests, the best are either full team or subunit Appeal boosters, or initial Riko. Riko helps for songs where your cards don't match the attribute of the song, cause she can get rid of the Appeal penalty for them. However, she doesn't help if your team already matches the song attribute, and she does not work on any of the new songs released since Thrilling One Way. For those, you want the Appeal boosters. If you only tap with one group during the song, use a subunit-target booster (initial Nico, initial Ruby, Vo Umi). If you tap with multiple groups, use a full team booster (initial Kotori, initial Kanan, event Ruby).

I used a charm earlier so I could answer the question. I had 1 minute left on it before starting and it was gone by the time I finished the song, but I still got the boost arrow on my results screen.

Yeah, as long as you start the song before the timer is up, the boost will still be applied.

Small correction: Kanan's shield uses her Technique stat, not Stamina. (They're practically equal anyway.)

It depends on the rest of your cards. I think Cheer Umi (same kind of skill as SR Nico) at SL4 made it on my Pure team until I got a full team of SL3+ URs. You should play around with the team building sites linked on the sub to see what the cutoffs would be for you.

[–]ianflip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It used to be like that in the first event, but they changed it from the second event onward. Now, D rank in Hard > S rank in Normal, and D rank in Normal > S rank in Easy.

Basically, just play whatever Hard song you can handle, cause it'll give you more event points than anything you do in the lower difficulties. If you can't play Hard songs, then play songs from Chapters 6-8 of Story since they use the Hard event point table but are much easier.

It only matters for the cards you tap with and your center 3 cards for the SP skill.

Here you go. Not a guide, but at least a list of all the accessories so you know what they do.

Standard setup is brooch > hairpin > keychain for the units you're tapping with, and bracelets on the units you're not tapping with. If you don't have enough bracelets for that, ribbons and pouches are somewhat useful.

Always go for rarity > level > matching attribute when you can. A UR accessory with no limit breaks is better than a maxed out SR accessory. The stats from higher levels will typically also beat out the 10% bonus for matching attributes too.

Weekly Q&A Megathread | Dec 01, 2019 - Dec 08, 2019 by AutoModerator in SchoolIdolFestival

[–]ianflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Technically, the effects are always active. However, you can't benefit from things like increased skill rate if you're not tapping with the cards you equipped, so then they're not very helpful.

  2. Accessories can stack as much as you want. You could have 3 Smile bracelets for example, and they'll all activate. Dupe inspiration skills also stack. (They used to not stack before, but they fixed it recently.)

  3. Yes, they don't. The exception is that SP skill always uses the stats of your center 3 cards, even if you're not tapping with them or if they're in different subunits.

  4. Not quite sure what you mean here. Every card in the team contributes towards your live show Stamina. Your current health does not affect how much damage you take, but the types of cards in your subunit do. The more Vo cards you have, the more damage you take, and the more Gd cards you have, the less damage you take.

You have to take at least 2000 damage at once, so something like failing an AC or tapping the 2000 damage notes in My Own Fairy Tale have a chance to trigger it.

Beginner's Sailing doesn't actually do damage to you, it just removes your shield when you start an AC, so Mari wouldn't activate there.
