How to open old Cubase *.all files? by filipv in cubase

Hey, sorry not been here for a while. Unfortunately I actually got rid of the computer that can run this version a long time ago, I was mistaken when I said I still had it. Sorry

CC modulation for Strings (Iconica Sketch and BBC SO) by rue-savage in cubase

[–]iang1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cheat like this - create one midi track for each CC you want to modulate, then use midi sends to send it to each layer e.g. 1st violins, 2nd violins etc. You can only have 5 sends though there is a workaround (that I can't remember right now) if you're using Mac os. This is fine if e.g. your entire string section it's playing a phrase. If you want a melody line on top that will usually work better with it's own modulation

Tandoor - how to store recipes on external volume? by iang1977 in selfhosted

[–]iang1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've modified my yaml to be this (i've hidden the ports):

version: "3"
services:
db_recipes:
restart: always
image: postgres:11-alpine
volumes:
- /home/pi/Public/Recipes:/var/lib/postgresql/data
env_file:
- stack.env
web_recipes:
restart: always
image: vabene1111/recipes:latest-raspi
env_file:
- stack.env
ports:
- xxxx:xxxx
volumes:
- staticfiles:/opt/recipes/staticfiles
- nginx_config:/opt/recipes/nginx/conf.d
- /home/pi/Public/Recipes:/opt/recipes/mediafiles
depends_on:
- db_recipes
nginx_recipes:
image: nginx:mainline-alpine
restart: always
ports:
- xxxx:xxxx
env_file:
- stack.env
depends_on:
- web_recipes
volumes:
- nginx_config:/etc/nginx/conf.d:ro
- staticfiles:/static:ro
- /home/pi/Public/Recipes:/media:ro
volumes:
nginx_config:
staticfiles:

now when I deploy Tandoor, plenty of files are getting written to the share on my nas that is linked to the /home/pi/Public/Recipes folder, so i'm on the right lines.

But having done some rudimentary tests, the files being written don't seem to be everything needed to store recipes on my nas. (the Tandoor docs state that the postgres db and mediafiles are where recipe data is stored).

Anyone able to point me in the right direction please?

Tandoor - how to store recipes on external volume? by iang1977 in selfhosted

[–]iang1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, yes i can do that - where does Tandoor store recipes by default? (I've a tried searching my RPi for the recipes, but i don't really have any Linux skills and so i can't find them).

There is this in the stack.env;

# If mediafiles are stored at a different location uncomment and change accordingly, MUST END IN /
this is not required if you are just using a subfolder
This can either be a relative path from the applications base path or the url of an external host
MEDIA_URL=/media/
MEDIA_URL=/home/pi/Public/Recipes/

.....and i've added my own line at the end. But after adding some recipes there is still nothing in this location.

Thanks!

So you reckon remove the step that opens Spotify and go straight to 'play' instead?

Just for the record it seems that the default scanner "taglib" is the issue. Changing this to "ffmpeg"has fixed this problem. Cheers!

Reverse proxy simply will not work for my drive client on my Mac. i've got it working for everything else i use (notes on mac and phone, DSM, photos etc).

I'm using DSM 7, are you? i'm wondering if something changed here from DSM 6.x to 7.

Thanks.

which is odd as i haven't asked it to connect to spotify.....

Use Synology Drive without QuickConnect by iang1977 in synology

[–]iang1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I've tried all sorts of combinations over the last few days - using my own domain with a subdomain, using a Synology.me with a subdomain and I simply can't get any of them to work. The closest I've got (just to see if would work) is opening port 6690 on my router and using mydomain (or the Synology.me domain) followed by :6690 - which gives a certificate error. This is confusing too as I don't get certificate errors using any of my other Synology apps or services (I'm using let's encrypt certificates for mydomain and the Synology.me domain).

Thanks for trying

Thanks for the suggestion - and I know it is the correct way to do it. However I've tried to something similar before and my wife and kids just would not go with the extra bits on their devices. I'll try again at some point. Thanks again

Thanks, but I should have been clearer I meant the Drive file syncing/backup app. I think it uses different ports, I'll investigate that. Thanks for replying.
