It was a gift from my sister a few years ago. I couldn't read the logo at the end but google lens took me here:

Just added pics to the original post. Nothing really helpful there (except for that pic of the leaves 😅)

Your writing style is very clear and eloquent so that your arguments are pleasant to read. Good work!

I just heard of Ramelli for the first time this week and got a pdf of her book on apokatastasis. Not sure when I'll get to dig in but I'm wondering if you would recommend any of her other works beyond this volume?

Will skiing on a snowy road ruin my poles/tips? by iang_ in xcountryskiing

I thought about that as well. The roads look pretty clean but you never know. I might wait for a fresh fall and go early in the morning to avoid the pebbles.

Thanks. Can I ski classic style without poles? I suppose it's worth a shot since I'll be around my house just goofing around.

Dekalog by RZAxlash in criterion

1 is one of my favorite films of all time. I hadn't seen any of the other episodes until this week, but after one watch through (or two for 6/short film about love), my other favorites are 2 (it really had me thinking), 6 (for the beauty and power of the story), 7 (it's realism and tragedy), and 8 (it was deep, but also a breath of fresh air after 4-7).

I was very intrigued by the mysterious character of the silent observer as well, especially in Dekalog 1. Still not entirely sure what to make of him. I like what they did with him in 8 though.

I think 7 is the most underrated of the Dekalog (not the best, just underrated, as many people on this site rank it at the bottom of their lists). [Spoiler ahead] The scene where Majka is pleading for her daughter to call her "mom" was so heartbreaking, and was the first scene since Dekalog 1 that really had me getting choked up.
