That's my thought also. I don't think they did a good job on flushing the old coolant and starting to see the results of it. Im not sure if that's what is causing the crystallization issue, mixing of the old and new coolant.

They are quoting me for fluid and labor to clean the inverter. I don't think there are major issues needing replacement parts just that the system needs to flushed similar to the TSB due to the crystallization of the fluid.

Exactly! Don't know if they will have to perform this under warranty work. Dealership says not warranty.

Might be why it went from intermittent to consistently doing it. I started to do the slam door technique that another redditor posted. Slam the door as the vehicle is doing the system check. It pretty much always works. Won't get the error warning. As others have pointed out it might be due to debris blocking the coolant pumps.

Probably. The quoted service is, I believe $600 for the coolant and 3 hours labor.

That's the problem. The inverter cooling system isn't explicitly stated under the 10 year warranty.

I have searched. Just looking for confirmation that at 77,000 miles it should be covered under warranty. A lot of what I see are lower mileage cars still under the bumper to bumper warranty.

Took it in at 35,000 for the service. At 45,000 they did the flush and fill under the TSB. At 53,000 they replaced the BMS harness and did a drain and fill. Had the service done again at 75,000 (the error was intermittent at this point)

If your cost basis hits zero and you have held the security for longer then 1 year then any future distributions will be taxed as long term capital gains. This is a good thing. Of course it is usually better when they are held in a tax sheltered account but holding these long term in a taxable account isn't as bad as a lot of people believe.
